Any of our friends from the western part of the state care to fill me in on the best places for BBQ from Owensboro west?

In Owensboro I actually like Old Hickory better then Moonlight for the actual Bar-B-Q. But for everything else you have to go to Moonlight. If you can go in there and not come out with your pants unbuttoned you did something wrong. They have a fantastic buffet.

 

In Henderson Thomasons is a must. The best mutton and bar-b-q beans anywhere. J&B's is also really good.

Moonlight is not the best, you need to get on down to Paducah and get some Starnes BBQ!

In Lake City, it's Knoth's BBQ

 

In Princeton, it's Heaton's BBQ

 

In Paducah, it's Backwoods BBQ and Starnes BBQ

 

And I agree with Woodsrider about Old Hickory being better than Moonlight

Smokin hose grilling team is great. You can get their bbq at hardware cafe in cunningham. It is about 20 minutes from paducah.

Hill's gets the most pub, but Larry, Darrell, and Darrell's is my favorite. Not to far away in Murray Bad Bob's is my favorite ahead of The Keg (also located in Fulton).

Larry, Darrell, and Darrells is really good but go about another 20 minutes to Cunningham to the hardware cafe. Great BBQ.
