EZ Living
None of you other guys have been able to get us back-to-back wins in over a month. Let me take a shot at getting something going by starting this week's thread. It's the least I can do since it's be kind to Dusty week for me. Oh and by the way I will keep my promise but there are plenty of others that will pick up the baton if needed. Reds start off the week with 3 @ Pittsburgh who starts the week 1/2 game out of 1st place and then after an off day come home for 3 with Atlanta who is playing well and currently holding down the wild card spot in the National league. Friday will start the beginning of a 10 game homestand that runs through the end of the month and could determine whether the Reds are buyers or sellers. letabrotherspeak
Someone told me today that Janish is hitting under .100 in Louisville. Wow. He has lost any sort of confidence he had. Would be nice to get two of three in Pittsburgh.
Clyde
Raise your hand if you penciled in the Pirates series in July before the season started as a "big series."
SSC
Raise your hand if you penciled in the Pirates series in July before the season started as a "big series." Not I, but if there's a casino close to the stadium I'll be up there for two of the three games of the big series.
oldrambler
Raise your hand if you penciled in the Pirates series in July before the season started as a "big series." If anyone claims that then we had better check their baseball fan card and they would have had to say before the season that the Pirates would be in it at this point along with providing proof of that claim. oldrambler
Reds broadcast will have "The Mayor" and G. Grande tonight. We will have to put up with Grande saying "Bucko's" all night. That is one of my gripes with him, it drives me crazy.

Voice of Reason
This week will be a tough week for the offense. Pittsburgh pitching is 5th in ERA and then Atlanta.

Unless something drastic happens, I think there is a pretty good chance Rolen will retire after this season. Production is down. Injuries, fatigue and ailments are up. Family is calling. The end is in sight IMO.

UKMustangFan
Reds lineup is hitting .417 (15-36) against McDonald....Hopefully they can put some runs on the board for Dontrelle.
Voice of Reason
I said it previously. I'm not sure Cairo is a step back. At this point in time, I would still put Rolen clearly ahead of Cairo defensively. Offensively, I agree ... Cairo may be better.
