Who cares what he said about Goddell? How will his teammates react to him throwing them under the bus when he had 1 tackle in the Super Bowl?

That was my first thought. A lot of people probably share the same sentiment about Goodell. With that said, not many if any take it to the level he did. I did not even know Harrison played in the Super Bowl.

You can downplay Harrison's superbowl performance all you want. The Steelers wouldn't have gotten there without him, bottom line. And the Pack schemed to keep him off of AR and it worked obviously.

 

As for his comments, I'd love to hear what the actual transcript sounds like. I'd like to hear if his words were actually taken out of context or if they were misquoted or what. I'm doubting it.

Yes, because he didn't return a 100yd+ TD at the half of that contest and was the defensive MVP of that campaign. Come on.

It doesn't bother me what he said about Goodell, but his own teammates are different. I could see a fine for the gay comment, but I think he I'd playing week one against the Ravens.

He called the commissioner a racist and an anti-gay slur. Those are not labor-related issues. He threw his teammates under the bus.

 

He's going to be fined heavily, and I'll be shocked if there isn't some sort of suspension, and rightfully so.

 

Word from the labor negotiations is that Rooney was livid Wednesday when he heard about his comments and they said it had a negative impact on the labor talks. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Rooney suspend him if not worse. He's become a problem.

It's a good thing Big Ben ain't Peyton Manning. His career would already be over behind that Steeler O-line. It's ironic that he didn't criticize the weakest unit on the team.

 

Criticizing a top 5, and arguably the most clutch, QB? I think of the old saying, "It is better to be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt." (Or something like that.)

After reading the entire article and hearing Harrison's apology on Sportscenter my perspective has changed. It was a very very long article and the reporter spoke with Harrison over the course of three days. Harrison's mistake is thinking that the reporter wouldn't report things he said but his Goodell comments were a small part of the story as were the Big Ben/Mendenhall comments. He spoke glowingly of Polamolu but that part sure wasn't reported. I thought it was a very good read and a fascinating look into Harrison and his psyche. I hope nothing is done to him other than a fine for his anti-gay slur on Goodell. Other than that, his comments appeared to be comments that you and I would hear from him if we were having a conversation with him. I think Goodell would look bad if he suspended Harrison for not liking him. That is how it would look to me.
