After reading the entire article and hearing Harrison's apology on Sportscenter my perspective has changed. It was a very very long article and the reporter spoke with Harrison over the course of three days. Harrison's mistake is thinking that the reporter wouldn't report things he said but his Goodell comments were a small part of the story as were the Big Ben/Mendenhall comments. He spoke glowingly of Polamolu but that part sure wasn't reported. I thought it was a very good read and a fascinating look into Harrison and his psyche. I hope nothing is done to him other than a fine for his anti-gay slur on Goodell. Other than that, his comments appeared to be comments that you and I would hear from him if we were having a conversation with him. I think Goodell would look bad if he suspended Harrison for not liking him. That is how it would look to me.

Just saying that he was stupid and naive for talking in depth so much around the reporter but I don't think he should be fined or suspended at all after reading the whole story unless they do so over the use of the anti-gay slur. If someone followed me around for 3 days they'd get plenty of sound bites from me as well. Especially after a few drinks. I have moments where I will tell people exactly how I feel. I use my twitter account for that.

That's all I hope happens at worst. And I am not a Steeler fan. Anything other than that is an excessive, vindicative and power hungry move by Goodell, IMO. Now if the Steelers themselves do it then that is their right as an organization with their employee.

Do what most corporations do when there is one incidence of racism. Diversity training for everyone. You can't just fine folks for having a misguided opinion about someone. Diversity training when done right allows people to learn different perspectives from each race and is extremely valuable when it comes to race relations. I wish it was done yearly where I work.

And only on the job. Corning cannot legally fire me for something like that when it happens off their property and not at a work function.
