This made me realize how out-of-touch I am with the rest of the world. EVERYONE at work has been talking about this today and I had to ask what in the world it was. I honestly had no idea...

My first thought after the verdict was a Norm MacDonald line from SNL's Weekend Update after OJ was found not guilty. "It's official, murder is now legal in the state of California." And now Florida.

I haven't followed this case enough to have an opinion. But I will say that I trust the decision of a jury. They sat there, listened to all the evidence day after day. If they came back not guilty that fast, there had to be a big hole in the prosecution's case. If fingers are going to be pointed, they most likely need to be pointed at the prosecutor, not the jury. Unless you have followed the case closely, I don't think you can automatically be shocked by the decision either way. People are tried in the court of law and not in the media.

I think those that followed the case extremely closely would be the ones that aren't as surprised. There were many many holes in the prosecution's case. Complete speculation.

Every talk she had inside the jail. That's all they should have needed. She was still "looking" for a child she knew was dead? Her dad was the greatest dad ever even after raping and abusing her? Why are people only talking about Caylee I'm a victim too?

What's your hard evidence? Completely circumstantial.

Now she becomes a societal paraiah. At least she has he freedom, but that's not an enticing option either. I say she's out clubbing within a week.

And with any luck she will be clubbed within two weeks. Sooner or later justice will prevail, others in Florida will not forget this!

It's not like I don't believe Casey killed Caylee, because I do. But I can't sit here and complain about the Jury's decision. They made the right one. Baez did a good job of repeating that the prosecution proved absolutely NOTHING.

So you can't get convicted with circumstantial evidence now? What do we need a video tape of her killing her child? Her defense was her dad and brother sexually assaulted her yet they never ever tried proving it in trial, and that she accidentally drowned and her dad who is a cop tried covering it up? Who covers up an accidental drowning? Jurors and others who think the prosecutors didn't do enough are lost.
