I see 8 as a winnable number, but I don't believe they will go week in and week out with one slip up, a lot of really good teams have weeks where they leave their A and even B game at home, for McCreary they can't winn all the winnable games without their A game week in and week out, I just believe once or twice they will slip up.

 

I agree it is hard to go week in and week out and always bring your A Game. Sometimes it happens and I hope that is the case with the Raiders this year. If they don't come ready to play the hopes for A good season will go down the drains quick.

Noone said McCreary would be 8-2, However 8-2 is a possibility. McCreary Central Can play with all teams on Schedule except 2. You know which 2. They may not win a game but there are 8 teams on this schedule that can be beat by Central. Can we agree that Taylor, Knott, Leslie, Pineville and Jackson Co. are in danger of being beat by Central? That leaves Casey, Wayne and N. Laurel none of these 3 are World beaters, so there are my 8. May not happen but stranger things have.

McCreary Central scrimmages Russell Co. tonight. This mScrimmage will be a Stron test for the Raiders. Russell will be very good. Good luck to the Raiders.!!!!

I can't wait to see the Raiders in action tonight at Russell Co I am confident that they will have a good showing but we all know scrimmages are about working on your weaknesses as you prepare for the regular season! Go gett'em Raiders!

How did the scrimmage go?

On the way home from Russell Co and the scrimmage went ok. The 1st offensive series was outstanding out of 10 plays the raiders picked up 4 or 5 1st downs and moved the ball well. After that they went game situation and the offense was a little up and down but over all they did very well. I was impressed with how far the O line has come and think they will play well this season and if you remember that was one of my pre-season question marks. My other pre-season question mark was the defense and to be honest the defese struggled tonight and is still a question mark but I am confident that Coach Smith and his staff will iron out the kinks next week and will be ready for Taylor Co and they will keep improving as the year goes on. Russell Co is a very solid team and I would say they will have a good season. Good job tonight Raiders keep working hard and you guys will be ok!

In the Russell Co Scrimmage th Def. did not look very good. Russell Co. has to very good RB's and they pretty much had their way running the ball. I feel that the peices are there to have a good Def. also McCreary had a couple kids out that can help this Def. a lot. The Off. played well at times. QB made some mistakes but this is first he had played under these conditions. IMO the Off. will be fine they have some playmakers. Storm Stevens and Tyson Williams had a good Game on both sides of the Ball. Arlis Dople looked good Running the Ball. Work hard this week and get Taylor Co. next Friday Night. Go Raiders!!!!

Russell scored 5 Td. MC scored 0 , MC moved the ball well a fumble and and interception spoiled long drives. MC got work to do on Def.

IMO Russell Co. will finish 2nd in their district behind Knox. They play pretty good football. So the showing by MCC is not as bad as it appears.
