Dixie Heights 2011/2012

Hedger has a tremendous upside. He is tall and thick and will most likely get bigger. His skill set was limited going into the past summer. He improved greatly over the course of the AAU season. He worked with some past Bulldog players and spent alot time in the gym. He has drive and determination. This will carry him a long way. I have heard that he had a pretty successful June with the Dixie team as well. I honestly think that he will contribute considerably at the freshman level and may see some JV late in the season. Dixie should be loaded this year and I don't see alot of their incoming freshman seeing too much varsity if any.

Hopefully, he continues putting in the work. As every good coach knows, you can't coach size!

Noticed Hatton on the sideline last night in football gear and he looked pretty big. What are his measurements at this point? I would say 6'2 200lbs but that is just a guess.

What number was he? I kept trying to hear if his name was called, but with the announcer at Highlands you can never tell who did what.

#9 He didn't play.

He was definitely suited up, I walked right by him. The kid has the biggest calves I have ever seen on a HS player.

He joined the team late and he has not been allowed to play yet.

So, what is the "net, net" here? Which players have officially transferred out and which players have officially transferred in and are eligible?

On the transferred in side, Jordan Fox from Jackson Co who will be a strong contender to run the point. This is the only one I'm aware of.

There were a few other stories and names swirling around that never happened.

No outbound transfers from last years roster other than a JV player.

Has the KHSAA ruled Fox eligible?

I don't know about the paperwork but he's a no brainer.

What's up with the Jackson County to NKY connection?? Wasn't the Elliott kid that was the difference maker in Pendleton County's run in the 10th in the '05-'06 timeframe a JC "transfer"??

Zeke is saying he will enroll at AU in May.

Did Hatton play football last year? I don't remember him playing before. I think Dixie will be loaded especially with Pike, Hatton, Stansbury and the rest of their retruning players. I really like the Stansbury kid. Seems to be a really good athlete and a very hard worker.

No, Hatton didn't play football last year....this is his first year.

Toss in Hassel, Evans and Fox with the three mentioned above and there's plenty to be excited about in Edgewood this upcoming season.
