anyone who can hit 90 has to be mentioned. Any time he is on the mound its an automatic win. This year being fully healthy. Watch out. :flame: :flame:

Ryan Branscum from Southwestern has a great arm and he is starting his 4th year of varsity as a pitcher

 

From what I hear, this kid is throwing in the 90s. Had 20 Ks in one game as a sophomore against Campbell County 2 years ago.

Curley is a VERY good pitcher and should be mentioned in every list. Being a CCH fan I saw plenty of him last year. He's got a cannon.

Curly is one of the top ten definitely. Pikeville played them 2 years ago in the All A at Applebees. He through the same velocity according to Applebees gun and had much better off speed pitches and poise than Huffman. Huffman is a dandy and will be a good college pitcher but at that time Curly was more advanced.

probably not because i have never faced the kid, i did get a background check and a teammate said he did throw ATLEAST upper 80's so i bet he did clock 90 max sooner or later but i never saw him as a picther besides last year in regional champs which i thought Bleser did as good as Curley. I just saw Curley hit Bombs last year on offense so i guess you can say he is the best all-around player... does he also play 3rd?? how does he do there??

Josh Bleser will be one of the top pitchers this year. He's only a junior and has all of last year under his belt, including pitching in the districts and regionals. Curley has a year on him, so he will probably be a little better than Bleser. Don't underestimate Bleser this year.

You definitely have to commend him for what he did while in such pain. I saw him pitching in that final game against Cov Cath and his leg just looked like it hurt. It wasn't in it's normal shape/place. I'm sure he's taken care of it and gotten stronger over the off season.

Brown from Rockcastle is in the top 10. Morgan from Leslie could be but has got to develop an offspeed pitch with some consistency in it. He also needs to not wear his heart on his sleeve and manage the game better. Solid pitcher in the 14th however.

The lefty from Boone County is Andy Dietz. He will have a great year and be a stud for the rebels on the mound and with his bat as well.

No, maybe he hasn't but i have and he isn't hitting 90. I would say he is a consistent 82-85 and can hit 88 on a good day, but 90 I don't think so. He is a very good pitcher though and Andy Dietz from Boone County is also another top Prospect from the area. He is left handed with a very nice curveball. It could be a interesting game if those two meet on the mound when Boone plays Beechwood this season.

Chris Curley from Beechwood should be included.

 

 

I totally agree with xtrabasehit. On a broken leg, Curley dominated the entire season. He will be the best pitcher in the state by the end of the season. He might even end up getting drafted. And after hearing what happened to his sister, you have to wish him luck because he deserves it.
