  1. I don't believe he moved, but I'm almost positive he lives in the Campbell County school district. Not sure if that affects his eligibility or not, but I think that is why it is trying to be appealed.
  2. Campbell County has, or had, a new player that transferred from Calvary, but was declared ineligible because he played varsity last season. I believe that Campbell County is trying to appeal it.
  3. I think most people would agree that Campbell and Brossart should have been in the Regionals, but because it was a random draw for districts, last year that didn't happen.
  4. In baseball, any team can win on a given day. It's not like football where 90% of the time the best team will win. It is also hard to judge how 2 teams will compare in an upcoming season because most of the time people can't exactly predict how much a team really did lose from graduating seniors or whether it will affect them at all.
  5. I do know pitch counts have a purpose. I was saying that I see them more as a guideline than a set rule. If a pitcher is having the best game of his life and is at 89 pitches with a limit of 90, I wouldn't let him throw just 1 more pitch and take him out. Im saying when he is that general area, give or take a few pitches based on a player's perormance and health.
  6. For the most part, I agree with a lot of what you said. I definitely wouldn't pitch 7 innings, 3 times a week, but I do think you should come out of the game when you are ready, but it is a coach's judgement to determine if he really needs to come out. Most kids will say they aren't tired whne they truly are and then injuries occur. I don't think there should be an exact pitch limit. I believe pitch count should be used as a guideline to give a coach an idea of where his pitcher's arm is in terms of fatigue. If a pitcher's count is near 95 or so, it is near time to take him out. If he is on a roll, let him throw a few more pitches or get a few more outs. If he is beginning to struggle, go with a fresh arm. Your bullpen should always be active whne a pitcher gets around 85 pitches or have a pitcher ready to go if the current one gets in trouble.
  7. I saw a segment on ESPN about a month ago on him. Pete Carrol said he offered him a scholly after seeing him play his sophomore season. He was the youngest player Pete Carrol has offered to.
  8. I've always heard Highlands as "cake eaters" and Campbell County as "plow pushers."
  9. All I'm saying is that I think Hurd and Robertson are one of the better 1-2 combinations in he 10th region. I'm not trying to debate how good either is or if Scott has something better. I think that Hurd and Robertson are a decent combo.
  10. I did say one of the better, not the best 1-2 punches, didn't I?
  11. I'd put up Hurd and Robertson from Campbell County as one of the better 1-2 punches in the 10th.
  12. From what I hear, this kid is throwing in the 90s. Had 20 Ks in one game as a sophomore against Campbell County 2 years ago.
  13. Good to see Brockman got in somewhere. Hopefully he does well enough in the classroom and on the field to tranfer to DI or DII.
