Difficult barometer with freshman being moved up from numerous schools.

Freshman team had depth, solid guards, solid bigs. One guard was pretty athletic. The rest can be solid in two or three years. I don't see any of these boys contributing next year at the varsity level.

 

I do like the potential of the Schreiver kid.

I agree they will not contribute next year, but I was referencing the next few years. The kid that impressed me most was Radcliff and the balance of the squad was very good. All of them decent size (not huge) for their positions and very athletic.

I agree on all points. That's why I think even without a "stud" that we like to rave about the frosh class is solid and , paired with kids from other classes, can make CCH a strong, deep team with lots of pieces in a few years.

Lighten up Francis. Henley left Holmes around April 20th and Booher was named Head Coach on May 17th. What makes you think CovCath is any less serious about naming a replacement than Holmes who took 4 weeks? They will name a head coach when they are good and ready. Until then, enjoy reading TheOldGuy's baseball summaries.

I agree. I think that is the bigger part of the problem. Until the administration gets serious about wanting a winning program, I fear things will remain the same.

Asking almost every Catholic HS coach if they want the job? They all know it's open, if they are interested wouldn't they apply? I just hope they, or any school for that matter, gets a coach before the June team camps.
