Track The NBA Playoffs

The contract thing is overrated. Every big name guy has signed back with his original team in his 2nd deal. Too much money on the table not to. LeBron did, Melo did, Wade did, all the divas did and it wasn't a big deal. Its not an unprecedented move, I don't know why the NBA acts like it is. Everyone in the history of basketball has done that.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That makes me sick. He did nothing exceptional by doing that. Only because of the Big 3 this summer was this a big deal. We'll see how he acts at the end of his current deal. But then again if Westbrook and Ibaka are still there he'll have no reason to leave. It's different for every player and situation. But too much credit goes to him there.

Exactly. It would have made no sense for him to not re-up. Couldn't leave for more money anyways. And yes, Ibaka and Westbrook are more enticing than Williams and Varejao.

Dallas is looking like they want to get beat by LA.

LA and Dallas haven't met in the playoffs in a long long time correct?

^I can't remember the last time they have. Lakers in 4, maybe 5. I don't see this being a long series unless LA doesn't bring their A game.

Wade got to play in South Beach, and had already won a title, Melo in Denver, and Bron really did try his best to do it for Cleveland. I'm still not sure too many players would have pledged their allegiance to Oklahoma City, especially when they are one of the fastest rising players in the league and could have sought better opportunities elsewhere. Not a huge deal he resigned but the fact that he did and the way he went about it said a lot to me anyway.

How do you guys feel about reseeding the 2nd round?

Nobody ever leaves a team after their first 3 year contract is up. I think Boozer may the the only above average player to do so and Cleveland decided to let him go to Utah. OKC wasn't going to let Durant go just like Miami, Cleveland and Denver wasn't letting Wade, LeBron or Melo go after 3 years. Much ado about nothing. Durant was never going anywhere. Everybody re-signs with their original team after their first contract. And OKC wouldn't let him go anyways. They re-signed him a year early to let him know they will take care of him and to let him know he isn't going anywhere. And Westbrook will likely do the same this summer or whenever the lockout isn't affecting signings if he hasn't already.

Indifferent. I like the second round match ups in both conferences but I can understand why some would like it. They are already seeded by record. How could it be done properly?

One of the more interesting stats I heard yesterday. On the season the Magic were 18-3 when Howard took 10 or less shots in a game. I am curious to see what direction the Magic go. I have no idea why you would keep Stan Van Gundy. He wants so desperately to be the star of the team.

I am neither a fan or a hater of KD. He is humble and seems like a genuine good guy hard not to like him.

That's me. I'm indifferent on Durant. He's a very good player, but I couldn't tell you how good because I haven't watched him play much at all in his career. He's buried in Middle America at OKC.

But he's too nice. And it's all fake. So let's hate him.

That's just one good reason. Don't forget he is soft. Never won anything before. Tried to fight a girl. Lame and boring.

I never liked Tim Duncan because he was a goody two shoes. Looks like Durant can carry that torch for the next generation.

I think Howard wants out of there and he ends up with the Lakers at some point.

Durant just looks weird to me when he's playing. :idunno:
