April 25, 201115 yr It was, but they gave the Lakers all they could handle and then some....If I'm not mistaken, the game 6 loss went down to the final seconds. This Lakers team wouldn't stand a chance against OKC if they don't have some drastic changes, and quick. Their current mental makeup is awful right now.
April 25, 201115 yr The country is taking notice of the surge of the Thunder....On the latest Sports Nation poll, "Who is the Favorite in the West?", OKC takes hold of the title with roughly 47% of the votes. They've been far and away the most impressive team in the playoffs thus far IMO.
April 25, 201115 yr How would Perkins do if it ends up being OKC vs Boston? I think he'd make Boston realize they really screwed up getting rid of him. He's probably one of only a few guys that can bang with Shaq.

April 25, 201115 yr I keep hearing Shaq won't be back. He is terrible anyway. No more than 6 fouls at this point.
April 25, 201115 yr He is terrible anyway. No more than 6 fouls at this point. I've been hearing he'll be back in the Miami series. I'm not saying he's any good, but he's a big guy that can level the likes of Westbrook or Durant a couple times a game. Perkins being on the opposite end can negate that IMO.
April 25, 201115 yr Miami can't close out games and Boston wins every close game. That series will have some good battles, but unless Boston can't hang how do they not win that series?

April 25, 201115 yr So more people are coming around to the OKC can beat LA idea? Hmmm....interesting. There is no worse matchup for the Lakers than the Thunder IMO, I could see OKC controlling that one from the start of the series. Kobe will have to guard Westbrook for the entire series, Artest will struggle to defend Durant as well as he did last year, and now OKC can throw someone infinitely better than Krstic or Collison at Bynum. I think they'd be LA's toughest Western Conference opponent in years. And I don't see Boston beating Miami. They could do it but based on their last 30 games I can't see it. Boston should be tied right now with NY and likely would be if Billups and Amare do not get hurt. And NY is nothing like what the Heat can bring. I see it being a tough series, but I'm taking the Heat in 6. I think Ray Allen and Paul Pierce are going to get ran through alot of pick and rolls, which will hurt them offensively. Miami will make Rondo and the O'Neal's beat them by scoring, which just is not a favorable situation for Boston IMO.
April 26, 201115 yr Most impressive stat of the playoffs... From 2006-2011, Marcus Banks has earned in excess of $21 million for 1544 total NBA minutes. That's $816,000 per hour.

I think everybody, including LA, knows that. I think Boston and Miami will be very competitive but I see Boston winning. Boston has mailed it in about 3/4 through the regular season the last two seasons, don't let that fool you. Most thought Cleveland was going to work Boston last year. The Celts are the best road playoff team out there.

The Celts are the best road playoff team out there. I definitely agree with OKC. I think they may be the toughest matchup in the league because they have two young guys that are stars, mixed with tough interior defense and a good mix of role guys. I'd say they don't have the experience to win it all, but no one wants to face the Thunder. I just don't see it from Boston. Their defense is suspect without Perk in the middle, as neither O'Neal provides much. They beat up on Cleveland and Orlando, but Miami is a completely different animal. Sure the Heat didn't close out yesterday but they'll have a different focus for Boston IMO.

I'm think the series is going to be overrated. I could be wrong but I don't think Boston matches up well with Miami right now and I don't like Boston's make-up. They went soft when they took on Krstic, Green, & brought in J O'Neal. They're not the same team they've been the last few years IMO.
