Ryle 46 Boone 41

Very good game for the 33rd title. Stauffer well deserved MVP.

Congrats to Ryle on winning the 33rd. They have played extremely well down the stretch winning 9 of their final 11 games, including two wins over Boone Co.

Talk about a tough match up for the district champ that draws Boone in the first round.

If you like lots of offense this game wasn't for you. However, it was fun to watch.

I'm being repetitive but I thoroughly enjoy watching the effort put forth by both Stauffer and Perkins. I'm going to miss watching them when they leave.

^ I haven't seen Stauffer during a HS game but I played with him over the Summer up at Boone Woods and I came away very impressed. He's very intense, and was a very unselfish player plus he made a 36 year old feel 18 again.

Congrats to the Raiders on a district championship that few would have predicted in November. Great effort by both teams tonight.

Excellent effort by both teams. Great win for the Raiders. Looking forward to an interesting Regional Tournament.

Both teams played horrible basketball, Boone was just a little more horrble. Ugly game. Low shooting percentages, pathetic rebounding and lots of turnovers. Both teams will lose first round of regions if they play like they did last night. Congrats to Ryle.

I watched Ryle at the beginning of the year and never would have predicted them winning their district. Congrats to the Raiders.

Congrats to the Raiders, who have now won the district championship for 2 years in a row under Coach Mullins. I don't think the Raiders did that even back in the J.D. years. Some people may not like Alan for various reasons, usually folks with sons who have played for him, but he gets the job done and made some nice coaching adjustments and calls again last night to help win the game. Congrats to all of the players and to Coach Mullins - "yet another win in spite of coaching????":rolleyes:

One key moment where Alan took a gamble and it paid off was when Stauffer picked up his 2nd foul in the half and there were probably 3 minutes left. Alan kept him in and Bobby ended up scoring at least 4 more before the half. Maybe 6. Did a great job of avoiding a charge despite going aggressively to the rim. Those last points of the half were huge.

I agree here. Just shows how much trust Mullins has in his Sr. leader. Very smart ball player. Other observations; I thought T. Mullins defense on McQueary was outstanding for the better part of the night, although McQueary did get loose for a few threes, Tate was up in his grill for most of the night. It was the same strategy Cooper employed with Bradley guarding him on Wednesday night. I thought the big momentum changer was Stauffer's big dunk that really got him, his team and the fans fired up. Big Stauffer fan for three years. Will miss watching this kid play.

Easier to do this in a district final game because if you lose you still get to play in the region anyway.

Great win for the Raiders. At the beginning of the year I do not believe to many people thought that Ryle could go 18 and 12 in the regular season and be district champions. Coach Mullins has taken a lot of heat the past years and I think this season proves he is a pretty good coach. IMO he should be coach of the year in the 9th region and be in the mix for state honors as well.

Two straight district titles and three straight region appearances, i believe all school records. Congratulations to the players and coaching staff of the Raiders. This did not happen by mistake. Ryle has just as good a chance to take the 9th as any remaining team. and no, not another win despite of coaching, frankly just the opposite.

Great win Raiders! Congratulations and much success in the Region!
