Ryle 60 Boone County 50

Congrats to the Lady Raiders and I look for them to get it done 2 more times vs. Boone this year. Seems like Boone won 3 real close games vs. Ryle last year. Certainly no love lost between the two teams and coaches.

Great atmosphere last night, taking Shrout out of the game was key and in the 4th quarter Ryle did not guard the point guard Jones until she came in the lane, then it was either a turnover or a missed shot. Jenna played a great game. SHould be a great tournament, hopefully these 2 play 2 more times before the sweet 16. Nice pics Panda!!

I agree on all counts! Now, that is grace in defeat, BC Dad! Just a good game to watch. If anyone is disappointed or hungry for more, wait 2 weeks and they do it all over again at Cooper!

The fans were pretty rowdy on both sides - loved the BC characters! Home fans seem to get a bit nasty in a big game like this. The booing of Moss did make me uncomfortable, too, until I thought about the history there. A Ryle team-mate transferring to what the Raiders see as their biggest rival ? Moss picked a tough road to follow, but I am sure she is happy with the outcome - after all, the noisy CHEERS coming from the BC fans centered around her, too!

How nice is it to see posts about a big game where the refs are not being bashed. I thought this crew did a great job calling the game in a super charged atmosphere.

Booing a top player is something I would expect in an NBA game, not at kids' games. That showed a total lack of class by the Ryle student body. Some players may thrive on it, but I thibnk it is very distracting.

I played and never saw or experienced booing a player like that.

Moss was off in the first half. Whether or not that had anything to do with the booing, that is when it was most prevalent..

Oh i think BC just threw off, setting them up for the regional tourney..Regional tourney boone by 10.

Sweeperboy, you really should just let this one go and quit trying to psycho-analyze the Ryle program or their girls. This win was just a stepping stone to much bigger goals. I know your Lady Birds beat us last week, but if they played 10 games, Ryle would win 9 of those contests.

I agree Nell has accomplished a great deal, but the games are played by the girls and talent ussually prevails. Right now ryle has the talent. Nell has 11 banners , but I would venture to say she had the most talent the majority of the time. she probably even lost a few years she should have won. I'm not taking anything away from her , great coach but players win games.

Spot on point and fans whether Booing or cheering simply have a good time for their 5 bucks.

I doubt if any of the girls need extra motivation for this game, but if its possible for her to get up more for the rematch then maybe this will do it for her.

Obviously not a coach! It takes both to win, yes the players do the work on the court but the coaches do the work preparing them in practice. You can't have one without the other. Talent goes along way but its what you do with it that counts.

The booing i think its silly and happens all the time these days, its a different game and era where apparently that is becomeing acceptable. My highschool days that was not done but that was 15-20 years ago.

Ok , I'll ease up a little;) I still think that Ryle wins this matchup 8 out of 10 times with this year's Ryle and Boone's team. IMO Boone was a better ballclub last year.

Both are great programs and should be feared across the state let alone NKY for that matter. There is no doubt that the BC area is a dominating force in NKY regarding Girls BB, I respect the heck out of both programs or I wouldnt be talking about ya. LOL. You know the sayin......

I too played at both the HS and College level and I am wondering if the the chanting and trash talkin bothers the fans or the players most. I dont disagree that this behavior should not be displayed at the HS level but my feeling is if the kid is really into it that they really never acknowledge it it or hear it imo.

Unless of course you have one of those really loud ND fans like nkyvbfan, LOL

Once again, you're killing me!!

The booing of a high school player is childish and immature. I hope the the only people acting like this were the children. Kids are going to be kids and there is very little that can be done to prevent this. The student section is always going to try to rattle the opposing players that is why the are there. It sounds like Miss Moss

handled it well, and the Ryle kids did what you expect from kids.

Did anyone you remember playing make some "claims" to gain immediate eligibility?
