Is Stanley still out for Ockerman?

8th Grade girls tourney should be a good one. Several schools were hit hard by kids moving up to high school teams this season.

 

Twenhofel is probably the favorite but any of the other top seeds could certainly win it all; Camp Ernst, IHM or Holmes.

 

Also, Gray knocked a strong RA Jones team and could also win it all. The Gray vs. Camp Ernst game tomorrow at Gray should be a good one. Will Gray's home court advantage give them enough to come out on top?

 

Twenhofel has some depth which is often the formula for winning middle school tournaments. They don't have any superstars but play very well as a team.

HMS 8th grade boys advance to district final to play Holmes tomorrow night. Campbell Co was without Brock and Franzen, both out due to injury. I was expecting a very competitive game, but without 2 of their best players the Camels simply didn't have enough to keep it close.

Yes he is done for the season. They only lost 3 games without him this year. 2 of those losses they were without their big man due to illness and the other loss was by 2 to Holmes. SHouold be an interesting tournament.

Great game last night at Twenhofel in the boys 6th grade. Summit View defeated Twenhofel 43-37. SV was 0-3 against the Breds this season. SV was 17-22 from the free throw line and committed just a few turnovers all night against a constant press and man defense. JC Hawkins and Johnny Lutz played very solid for the Jags. They move on to play Woodland in the championship tonight.

That is a great win for Summit View, good luck moving forward against a tough Woodland squad. Birds moved to the finals in there district with a 35 - 31 win over Bracken in 6th grade action. Bryce Traylor had a real nice night shooting the rock. They play Campbell County tonight in the finals of their bracket.

8th grade Boys Gray x Ockerman tonight 6:45 PM @ Gray, should be very intersting to say the least. Hope better ref's for tonight's action. Gray has not beat them in 3 yrs, tonight maybe different if outside shooting continues.

If both teams play like they did last night Gray wins this game.

Gray 6th grade girls cruise to an easy District #1 title; Ditto for Gray 7th grade girls in a win over Ockerman 41 to 8.

Gray 7th grade boys lose to Ockerman by 5. Gray's big guys just didn't bring their game. Nice win for the Hawks.

Ockerman 8th grade won by 9 in OT. Did not shoot well tonight but they were 22 of 32 from the line. Maybe 1 of 20 beyond the arc.

Turkey Foot 7th grade boys win their district tonight beating Twenhofel

Holmes 8th grade boys over Highlands tonight 49-44. The Birds always play the Bulldogs tough, but always come up a few points short.

 

The 8th grade boys regional shapes up to be very competitive. Twenhofel, Ockerman, Gray and Holmes are the favorites, while the other 4 teams are very capable.

Ockerman 8th grade won by 9 in OT. Did not shoot well tonight but they were 22 of 32 from the line. Maybe 1 of 20 beyond the arc.

 

Ockerman boys came out after halftime played very well. Gray outside shooting didn't develop tonight. Good game Hawks.
