In 6th grade play Woodland defeated Summit view by 6 in the finals. Sv was without one of their starters. Ohmer and Hawkins carried their teams. Blessed Sac defeated Tichnor, CC defeated highlands and Ockerman defeated Gray on a last second shot by Dante Hendrix. Should be a good regional.

Hey JC a little off topic but is the Hawkins boy playing AAU.

Yes he plays with James Pouncy's KY Select Tarheels

Holmes 8th grade boys over Highlands tonight 49-44. The Birds always play the Bulldogs tough, but always come up a few points short.

.

I reffed these two last year as 7th graders. Two good teams. Does Holmes still have the two big boys?

Yes! And the difference in this game. And probably most games. Two very good players.

How did Hoge look? Is he getting any bigger?

Ockerman 7th grade boys finally got their game together. 2nd year in a row that Gray beats this team twice in the regular season and then Ockerman wins in the district championship. Thad Moss played great but his supporting cast just couldn't match up last night with a very athletic Ockerman starting five. Thad was high point man for Gray with 14 and the next two in scoring had 6 each, Colin England was one of them. Nick Flesher had 13 for Ockerman and Downs and Diaw had 10 points each. Great game and atmosphere for a middle school game.

Great job by all the Ockerman boys teams. District Champs across the board!

Good luck to all teams in the Regionals! It should be a fun week.

Hoge had his best game of the year last night IMO. He has gotten a little bigger.

Ohmer, Hawkins, Hendrix looks like the old NK Wildcats represented well at regionals. Should be some good ball

You got some great opening round regional games. In the 6th grade the Woodland/Gray game should be a good one. Woodland beat Gray in the regular season behind 10 three pointers. I dont know if they can count on that ouput again. The SV/Ockerman game should also be a good one. Ockerman defeated SV in the regular season in double o.t. Hawkins spent most of that game on the bench with a hurt hand.

7th grade you have Highlands/Blessed Sac, got to believe that is a toss up. As well as the Holmes/Connor game. Connor beat Holmes in the regular season.

8th grade you have SV/Ockerman. SV beat Ockerman in the regular season by one point. I also believe the Twenhofel/Gray game should be a good one. Dont know what they done in the regular season but I have seen both play. Should be a very exciting week of basketball.

I think you are right about HHS vs BS should be a very good game. I didn't know Conner beat Holmes in the reg season. Highlands beat Conner pretty good during the reg season and Holmes beat the Birds twice this year..I don't believe Conner will beat Holmes again..

If it comes down to coaching, I will take John Padgett and Connor.

Twenhofel beat Gray at thier place, Gray beat them in a X-mas tournament, should be a good game. Ockerman should handle SV this time, full team available for this game.

In 6th grade action last night, Woodland defeated Gray by 2. Sounds like Woodland was raining threes again last night. In the other game Tichnor defeated Campbell County by 7. Tichnor makng a surprise run here late in the season.

Anybody have any of the other scores from the other grades?
