March 23, 201115 yr Great work! I always thought Chest/Back was the toughest workout. If tonight is your first time to do the Plyometric workout, well, good luck I haven't looked to see what Plyometric involves, but was told to expect lots of jumping.

March 23, 201115 yr Hopefully you won't have to move much the next day. Yoga, by FAR, is the worst part of P90X. It is a great workout, but very, very humbling. I'm sticking with Wendler's 5-3-1 workout. I've tried everything crazy and get burnt out about 5 weeks in. I've been sticking w/ his bodybuilding schedule and feel awesome. Lift M,T,R,F and then sprint on M and Sat, Jump on T, W. I lost 13 lbs b/n beginning of Jan. and end of Feb. and only one pound was muscle. I'm down to 213 now and plan on being a very fit 205 come the end of May.
March 23, 201115 yr ^ I like that plan... P90x didn't really work for me because I couldn't dedicate the time to it. Between work, school, and planning a wedding it's just not realistic to spend an hour every week night doing that. I could manage it a few nights a week but not everyday.

Do you use wieghts when you do P90x?
March 23, 201115 yr Been working out 4-5 days a week for about 7 weeks right now, but just recently started running 20-30 minutes a night. This has caused me to be, so freaking hungry it's nuts, every 2-3 hours my stomach is growling and I'm hungry.
March 23, 201115 yr Half way through week 4 of my keto diet. Have lost 9 lbs in 3 1/2 weeks, mostly of it fat and water. Going for one more week then heading to Destin. Might go back on it for a few weeks when I get back to try and cut another 5-6 lbs. It will depend on where I'm at after next week.

How is that? do you feel like you've lost energy since you've cut out grains and beans?
March 24, 201115 yr How is that? do you feel like you've lost energy since you've cut out grains and beans? The first 3 or 4 days were hell. I started it on a Sunday and by Thursday morning I was ready to calll it quits. I could barely get through my work outs and was dragging booty big time all day. But Thursday afternoon it was like some flipped a switch. I felt like I could run a marathon. Since it's balanced out and I feel pretty normal. I have lost some endurance and strength in the gym but that was to be expected. My squat, deadlift, and some of my other leg workouts have continued to improve. Pretty much everything else as held steady or went down slightly. It's definitely a trade off, even though I have lost some strength I am probably as lean as I have ever been. Still some to go but getting there. This week as been a little more of a struggle since I didn't do a carb up day. My week runs Sunday - Saturday with a carb up on Saturday. This past Sat. I skipped it to see how I felt. I will do one this Sat. but will probalby limited it to one meal and maybe add in a cup of milk to each of my protein shakes. My daily diet consists of about 2500 calories with only about 15 total carbs. It's has been hard since I love my carbs.

March 24, 201115 yr I thought that Keto was huge on raw vegetables. You can eat some veggies but you have to watch the carb content. I normally eat a salad with lunch and dinner (lettuce and cheese only), a small amount of mushrooms on my steak, peppers on my burger (again small amount), asparagus or broccoli from time to time, if I'm out an order a salad and it has cucumbers on it I will eat those or even a small amount of tomato. Keto is 65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs
March 26, 201115 yr Author Just did a 60 mile bike ride. Furtherest I had gone before today was 22 miles. Was planning on running 5 miles afterwards but the rain came. The bike ride was absolutely brutal. Cold, windy, and some difficult hills.
March 27, 201115 yr I've had a plan and stuck too it. Started easing my way in Nov 1st. After a month or so started doing a lot of bodyweigth stuff like pullups/pushups/body squats/lunges. Progressed from there to doing lighter weight high reps to build some endurance. Added in speed bag/heavy bag stuff. Progressed from there to lifting heavier weights. Added in a couple of moderate cardio days. I've only lost about 6lbs but not really trying to loose weight yet. Trying to ease my body into getting stronger then late April/May start cutting down. I've gone up about 30lbs on my bench. While I haven't seen a ton of weight fall off I am getting a lot stronger and my lungs feel better. I've gone down almost 2 belt sizes too. I also won a Trek Mountain Bike which is great because my shins kill me. I've been out riding a few times by the lake. My question for bike riders is does it fell like your prostate is about to explode lol. I was soar as heck the first couple of times! Does that get better or do I need to quit sitting so much when I ride?

I assume you have some biking shorts? Everyone tells me it will get better. Knowing I will be spending 7 hours or so on that thing makes my stomach turn.
