February 23, 201115 yr Of course this thread comes up right as I am eating a mini milky way. Only junk food I eat is a bowl of Cookies and Cream ice cream.
February 24, 201115 yr Author So did everybody give up or what? I am at 195 I have been working out everyday lastnight I benched 290 pounds 1 time for the first time in my life main that was after I was benching 220 six sets of 10 my goal is just to stay in shape. Still hitting it hard. By Thursdays I am typically worn down so I did not make it to spin this morning but will go this evening. Last night I did a track workout and it beat me down: - 1 mile warmup - 3 x 1 mile repeats descend at 6:51, 6:48, 6:45 (1/4 mile cool down in between each set - 1 mile cool down Monday morning I knocked out 2400 yards in the pool which is a new best for me. Getting better but a long way to go. Ready to hit the open water. Picking up my road bike the next day or two. 17 mile run coming this Saturday.
February 24, 201115 yr Down 10lbs since the first of the year and lifts keeping improving. I thinking about starting a keto diet on Sunday and a little nervous about it.
February 24, 201115 yr Lost 22 lbs since the new years. Just dieting a little and doing Insanity cardio workouts still. I'm two and a half weeks into month 2. If you've ever gotten to month 2 in these workouts you know how hard they are and why it is called Insanity. I think I've finally got to the point where I'm starting to enjoy some of the pain that the videos put me through. I'm going to do another rotation of Insanity and when I make it through that I'm moving onto P90X.
February 24, 201115 yr Also, I heard this on the radio somewhere (can't remember what station or who it was). The guy said that if you go to the gym a lot then you might finally start noticing that its less crowded. He said by Valentine's Day only 20% of those who set out to get back in shape at the beginning of the year are still going to the gym or still doing their routine. And he said of those 20%, only 2% will make it to their goal. I'm trying to stay in that 2%.

Every year after new years there are always new faces but they never last. The same people that were always there 4 years ago are the same there now. Everyone else comes and goes.

In January you get the new years resolution fatty's, and in late February early March you get the Spring breaker fatty's. Now I'm off to the gym, to make sure I'm never a member of either club.

After two rounds of Insanity, P90X will be a walk in the park, I promise. :thumb:
February 25, 201115 yr I'm still doing EA Active. Haven't weighed myself lately, but I feel much better. I finish the current program in a week or two(I forget which day) and will be starting P90X March 14th.
March 1, 201115 yr Started a Keto diet on Sunday. Felt crappy yesterday, no energy, barely got through my work out, but that was expected. Feel better today, energy levels still aren't back to normal but getting there. Again this was expected for the first week. Luckily this was my light week at the gym.
March 23, 201115 yr Author Everyone holding strong? The weather has warmed so that I can try out my new bike and it is a blast. I am doing a 60 mile ride this Saturday followed by a run to get used to this Ironman training. Knocked out 19 last Saturday and gearing up for the Louisvlle Marathon again. Tough swim this morning and got a reverse ladder track workout scheduled for tonight.

March 23, 201115 yr Author Had my first p90x workout last night. My arms are very sore, in a good way. Great work! I always thought Chest/Back was the toughest workout. If tonight is your first time to do the Plyometric workout, well, good luck
