Oh Clyde......mmm...I got nothing.

Every year I think NCC is going to struggle when they have to replace key players. Every year I seem to be wrong.

 

Exactly. They may not be regional favorites but they are always a serious threat to the favorite.

So far this season we have the following reasons for CC losses:

 

1. Sick

2. Refs

3. Player wearing a mask

 

If they ever stay healthy and get good refs they will go a long way.

 

 

 

You forgot last year's favorite--Too much emphasis on defense!! "Better to score a lot and lose, than never to score a lot" per the CC faithful!!

Nobody said he was a bad coach but I'm sticking with what I know and the source is solid. He's a young coach, very passionate and also very competetive so I wish wish the best.

 

I know exactly what they have in the program so don't give me that garbage either. Who will replace Geisler next year?

No one player will replace him, just as no one replaced Pittman for Holmes, etc. They will be fine. You just go with the players you have, and they have players there now and coming in next year to continue to be a top tier program. Campbell Co. continully falls short of what a school their size should accomplish. Probably the most "underachieving" program year in and year out in NKY. So I suggest they concentrate on getting the kids in their school out for the team. A school that size has to have good athletes walking in the halls that don't play. What keeps them from coming out?

I heard McGovney hurt his back in the 1st quarter..This could be the reason he only scored 5pts..

Ahh, you've misunderstood my attitude. I have no reason to have an "anti-Camel" attitude no DO I have an anti-Camel attitude.

 

I will admit to having some fun at your expense though since you are the main Camel fan on here and you seem to provide a lot of "well, if only" about the Camels losses.

Afi100guy- are you serious? The main complaint Coach Brannen had was the "none" goal tending call when the Campbell player pulled the rim down while the ball was going in. You are way out of line saying he yelled expletives and beraded the refs. What a joke? Calls were far from one sided. Bottom line is this. Campbell played a 3-2 zone because they couldnt guard NCC man to man. When NCC got up and forced them to play man to man the game was over. Newcath abused their man to man defense. The only thing Campbell could do was foul them because they couldnt guard them. As for Coach Brannen, the kids love to play for him, they respect him and future Thoroughbreds are really looking forward to playing for him. He gets on refs when he should but never berades them. Campbell player got a t for using an expletive that is an automatic "T". i was sitting right there. You obviously have a personal problem with Coach Brannen because things you are saying about him are completely false. Qryche11-program is in good hands at all levels. Ncc had huge numbers this year for tryouts. I'm quite sure Coach Pangallo would agree that the program is in good hands with Coach Brannen and he is a better coach today because of him.

They will obviously miss Giesler when he is gone but the Breds will be fine. They have a great program and another very nice group coming in next year. All is fine on the hill, I guess it does get old getting a beat down from a small school year in and year out in every sport.

Maybe I am old-fashioned, but there is no place for that when you are in a leadership position with young impressionable men.

Not a good analogy these are high school kids. AFI if you think what you heard from him in the game was bad, can you imagine the practices?

afi- sounds like you needed to pay more attention to the game and not worrying so much about the NCC bench. Give it a rest. I know for a cold hard fact Coach Brannen doesnt use foul language in practice, I actually verfied this with someone very close to the action. Clyde is right, it is always something when CC loses. Refs, sick, back hurt. TDFred is right in all phases. NCC shut them down and held Losey and McGovney to 11pts. Pretty good game plan and defense and when they had to play man to man defense NCC scored at least 6-7 straight possessions. Game over!
