Yes.....so much easier to go to play on Mason County home floor and have a top 5 team like GRC sitting in your region.

 

Why is that Region always played at the fieldhouse anyhow? Great arena but home court advantage for MC is huge.

Nobody said he was a bad coach but I'm sticking with what I know and the source is solid. He's a young coach, very passionate and also very competetive so I wish wish the best.

What garbage? You better find a better source that's for sure because you dont know what you are talking about. If you do know what they have coming in then you would understand why the future is bright. No one can replace Giesler but there are players waiting in the wings who are very good players. You act like NCC is good just because of Jake Giesler. They have been good in the past and will be good in the future. Stupid statement also about kids would play harder for anyone else. NCC players practice hard and play hard every day. No coaching staff works harder, scouts more or prepares more than Coach Brannen and his staff. Period!

Afi100guy- are you serious? The main complaint Coach Brannen had was the "none" goal tending call when the Campbell player pulled the rim down while the ball was going in. You are way out of line saying he yelled expletives and beraded the refs. What a joke? Calls were far from one sided. Bottom line is this. Campbell played a 3-2 zone because they couldnt guard NCC man to man. When NCC got up and forced them to play man to man the game was over. Newcath abused their man to man defense. The only thing Campbell could do was foul them because they couldnt guard them. As for Coach Brannen, the kids love to play for him, they respect him and future Thoroughbreds are really looking forward to playing for him. He gets on refs when he should but never berades them. Campbell player got a t for using an expletive that is an automatic "T". i was sitting right there. You obviously have a personal problem with Coach Brannen because things you are saying about him are completely false. Qryche11-program is in good hands at all levels. Ncc had huge numbers this year for tryouts. I'm quite sure Coach Pangallo would agree that the program is in good hands with Coach Brannen and he is a better coach today because of him.

They will obviously miss Giesler when he is gone but the Breds will be fine. They have a great program and another very nice group coming in next year. All is fine on the hill, I guess it does get old getting a beat down from a small school year in and year out in every sport.

TDFred are you serious? I was sitting right behind the bench and let me tell you something I heard alot of things being said by Coach Brannen and it wasn't words of coaching. I have known Grant for several years when he was just an outstanding player at NewCath. Outside of when he is coaching he is always a respectful young man but I was shocked at the game last night with his language. He was given an extra long rope last night by the refs. He was allowed to storm out on the floor when he felt there was a no call on the goal tending call and then talk to the refs during the whole timeout. He pounded his fist in his chair when he didn't get the calls he wanted. The calls ended up going New Cath's way. This wasn't why the Camels lost but it did add to it. For you to say that the Camels could only foul the Breds because they couldn't stop them is crazy. So I am the second person on this post that heard the way the Brannen was talking on the sideline, are you going to call me a liar as well? Fine if you do and I will just chalk your post up to being a HOMER and will just assume that you are only going to be one sided on your post for the Breds. I would watch making that comment about being beat down from a small school year end and year out. I think the records in all sports is a lot closer than what you think over the lifetime of these two playing each other.

Nice win for NCC. As for the no call on the hanging on the rim. Grabbing the rim is not an automatic technical foul. If the refs feel the player was trying to protect himself from being undercut, it's not going to be called. I have to believe had it been called, the talk would be about he was trying to protect himself from the Campbell faithful. I think the refs did a good job giving NCC coach a little lead way with arguing that call. It's going to be a argument no matter which side your on if it doesn't go your way. Emotions were running high and it didn't change the outcome of the game.

Clutch, they couldnt stop them when they had to go man to man, period. Did you watch the game or only worry about watching the Ncc staff?

I'm done discussing this if all you have to bring up is Coach Brannen and things said on the sidelines. Why do I need to watch my comment on getting beat down from a smaller school. The records arent close and that is a fact. Anyway, Good Luck to the Camels the rest of the year and the Breds in the ALL A and the rest of the year. Coach Russell is a good guy and coach and will do well there.

Campbell was one and done. They have no inside game. They fouled because Giesler was tough to handle and Newcath guards played very well. I also didnt see anything wrong with either coach or their antics. Coaches get emotional and I'm sure they all say things they regret or act inappropriately at times. Newcath guarded very well last night. Lets give them some credit for their game plan on Losey and Mcgovney. Officiating was very poor the whole game, on both ends.

Well I guess that means they wouldn't have a chance in EITHER region.

So far this season we have the following reasons for CC losses:

 

1. Sick

2. Refs

3. Player wearing a mask

 

If they ever stay healthy and get good refs they will go a long way.

No one player will replace him, just as no one replaced Pittman for Holmes, etc. They will be fine. You just go with the players you have, and they have players there now and coming in next year to continue to be a top tier program. Campbell Co. continully falls short of what a school their size should accomplish. Probably the most "underachieving" program year in and year out in NKY. So I suggest they concentrate on getting the kids in their school out for the team. A school that size has to have good athletes walking in the halls that don't play. What keeps them from coming out?

What makes you so sure about the record? Show me the stats and then if you are correct then you win and I will admit that I am wrong. Don't show me stats over the last 10 years either. You said it has been going on for a long time so I would like to see the record that you are refering to.
