Newport Central Catholic 2011

What does Neport Central Catholic need to do to improve in
2011?
What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Replacing Geisler and Gruenschlager won't be easy. That is almost 600lbs of girth they have to replace. Also losing Kelly and Doyle on defense will hurt.

They have 2 yr starting QB Hightchew back though and I would expect him to carry the load. Dylan Hayes should also be a factor on offense.

Don't forget about Cain at rb..

Losing Cain really everywhere. He was a very underrated lb and receiver.

Uhhhhhhhh! I thought we were not allowed to start 2011 Team threads yet? Just sayn

NCC loses a bunch of good Seniors I don't think they will be that good this year.

I believe that NCC will be good again next year; obviously things will be different in comparison to this past season. I believe the biggest factor will be the lines on both sides of the ball, they will be tough to replace.

I agree, Cain was a great player.

Only when it is sanctioned by BGP, which this one was.

Is that why Sk put thekm on there schedule next year and still willnt schedule HHS

Losing one of the best linbacking coures in No. Ky., the schools all time interception leader, and Jake & Jack off the line, as everyone is saying will be a hard task. Coach Eviston & crew will surely be tested. Returning bookend tackels/DE Martin, and Morse @ 6'3" 235 lb should anchor a very quick line with the best center I've seen play in years, Brady Thacker. They won't be able to replace Chris Kelly, and Jake Cain in the backfield, but Dylan Hayes has added a few pounds, and will be complimented by some of the other up and coming backs. I think that the highest rated(by QB rating formula) QB in NO. KY. , and one of highest in the state could improve on his 71% as long as Nick Wolterman stays healthy and has a little help. As well as his passing skills are, Brady Hightchew may be a tough target for NCC opponents to bring down. Good Luck to the 2011 NCC Thoroughbreds.

Depth will be the major concern. They are very talented in the starting dept.

Depth is always a concern at the small schools, NCC is no different. Last year all the Seniors other than Tallon stayed healthy most of the year. They'll need that same luck to repeat as state champs.

Every team loses key players every year but with a great coaching staff that knows how to get it done combined with off season discipline in the weight room and the tradition, the NCC pride and determination the Breds will have a great season.

I would never count NCC out of anything. To do so would be a mistake.
