Just heard from a pretty good source that Kevon Rice, former Holmes' player that transferred to Dixie Heights, was ruled ineligible to play this year by the KHSAA.

 

I guess we can put all the other rumors about him to rest and move on.

I had a feeling that would be the case. Poor timing and heading to the #1 team in the Region was about as fishy as they get. Dixie would have been the Scott Co of Nky if this one was approved.

No reason to assume that he would have made the team even if the KHSAA ruled in his favor. This "situation" should not reflect in any way on Dixie's reputation. :thumb:

That may be the case but considering he has an uncle on the HC coaching staff, him being eligible really surprised me.

Yes...had he not got kicked off Holmes' team, he would've been a 4 yr varsity letterman.

Dixie will be fine, however he would have been a nice addition going into districts! Keveon has played with some of the Dixie players in AAU in the past, so the kids know him.
