Could be. I was going on what the roster said.

We will agree to disagree since KY fumbled on GL 31 driving to score I think on 2nd possesion. . The 1st half td for GL came on a razzle dazzle flea flicker on the first play of game and KY got fried. Really no threat at all the rest of the half.

Lawrence gets stripped on the 1 after taking off on a 50 plus yd romp only to fumble it into the endzone for a touchback.

I think GL had one called back for holding and so did KY.

KY takes a knee on GL 3 yd line with less than a minute to play or if they stick that one in its 34 or 36 to 12 instead of 28 to 12

Either way, you are correct, KY was certainly bigger and more physical than the GL team.

 

I don't totaly disagree, the Kentucky team was very dominant in the second half, I'm just trying to take up for my boy a little bit. I wish the best for everybody that played, and their families.

And there is certainly nothing wrong with this. It was a fun game to watch if you did not mind the snow and cold. I agree with someone else that mentioned how they would love to see this game in a dry, warmer environment. Man those kids can flat out fly and it was real tough for all the kids to really get it going. Good luck to you son next yr and I hope he too is playing on Sats.

He was the Rock's Center. Sorry on the name. # 59 I think. At least that is what I think he wore yesterday. Played the entire game.

KY team ran from under center for probably the 1st qtr and then went into the shotgun. Ryan Hahn from Highlands was on the money with his snaps in such horrible weather and Lawrence looked very comfortable and was obviously very dangerous from that formation as well.

Keeping a very elusive and athletic Lawrence under center during a game would be like asking for Spaghetti and Meatballs at a Mexican restaurant. :thumb:

 

BTW - When KY changed to this formation, Game Over. Great job by Coach Black and staff.

 

I'd go with liver and onions. Chad is so good in the shotgun, I will miss him.

Maybe they should switch this game to Kentucky vs Northern Kentucky seeing how the NKY players dominated this game!

The sole Trinity kid that played was the center Matt Flynn (sp?). He was added late due to the fact that GL didn't have a center who could shotgun snap.

Yes, and he is a monster for a center. I think 6'5 255 or something. Did a nice job btw. I talked to Coach Wood from Glasgow on Thurs in the Ky camp and he was telling me that as coaches of these types of games, it is real easy to overlook certain areas of the game and that as coaches they just assume the kids can do these things. Special teams the biggest part, center snapping, punt snapping, kicking game, shotgun snapping as you mentioned,etc.

So he said what they do right out of the gate is find and identify those guys and make that their number one priority of the week and if they dont have someone get him.

I know the kicking game for both teams was real rough to say the least. I know I wouldnt want to kick a ball that probably felt like kicking the corner of the bed barefooted in the middle of the night.

Plus I believe the KY kicker from Lone Oak had a minor setback on walk through during Sat night practice which kept him from playing in the game. Too bad, I watched that kid in practice Thursday and he can boom it.

Not sure about the GL team, but KY only had the one kicker.

Hip problem. Not good.

 

Definitly his hip. Dislocated and fractured, he has to use a walker to get around for now. He had to come home by ambulance after spending the night in the hospitable in Louisville. Our prayers go out to him for a speedy recovery.

Thats horrible news I hope he gets healthy I think he would make a great fullback in college.

He played tough all game, his injury came late in the game when KY. was churning out first downs. I hope he heels up quick.
