Here's to $80 bucks down the drain. :isurrender: Bought a new battery on Wednesday and the old one was dead by Saturday evening, funny thing was by Friday I was starting to question if I really should've purchased the new battery.

I checked this morning and it looks like the first storm might not do much now. The problem will be Saturday night into Monday. It looks more like a definite winter storm to hit our area. The thing about this storm is that models are showing that it might strengthen from our area all the way into the great lakes! I would keep a close eye on it. Kentucky Weather Center

December 8, 201015 yr Author I don't know what everyone else is going to do but I will be preparing for a possibility of the lost of power this weekend. Today's update is calling for rain Saturday with temperatures right around freezing. Then the big problem starts Saturday night. As of now, the models are showing such a rapid drop in temperature that ice is a distinct possibility. It will change over to all snow later Saturday night most of the day on Sunday into Monday. The temps. will drop into the low teens by Sunday evening. The low might get to 0 or below! If that is the case it hasn't been that cold around here since 1989. Accumulating snows are a good bet from Sunday into Monday but it is way too early to forecast totals. This is my quick take on this morning's update from kentuckyweathercenter.com.

The problem won't be until late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. The temperature is supposed to drop rapidly. Maybe 10-15 degrees in about an hour or two. This will cause a quick change over to snow. The latest snow amounts I saw on kentuckyweathercenter.com is wide spread 3-6 inches across Kentucky. Southeastern Kentucky 6-12" Sunday through Monday. The problem is that each new GFS model run is increasing the snow amounts for everyone. A Winter Storm Watch has already been issued for Southeastern Kentucky. This is around the Middlesboro, Pineville, Harlan, Pikeville, Whitesburg.
