Both Highlands and Trinity (and the other four state champions) should be congratulated on a great year! Nothing better than ending the year with a win!

Trinity's AD to my face.

 

 

I heard the same thing from the same individual.

 

On top of that I am fairly certain we still have 4 open dates to fill.

The Highlands team that showed up last night and a couple other games this year would give Trinity all they wanted and would have every chance of winning.

Trinity would win this game. Highlands offense is too one dimensional (Towles w/ no real threat at rb) and Trinity's D Line is too good. The Birds D may be able to contain T's offense but not enough. Congrats to both teams on winning this weekend.

Highlands schedule is pretty much full next year, already. They play the following:

 

Cincy Elder

Boyle County

Louisville Western

Ryle

Holmes (District)

Covcath (District)

Pendleton Co (District)

Harrison Co (District)

 

That leaves two open dates and I think I'm missing one team.

 

To say that Highlands is "scared" to play Trinity next year would be way off base. They're already playing Cincy Elder and Highlands will have three of it's best teams ever (IMO) over the next three years.

Trinity wins by 3 TD's period. Ryle beat Highlands not to long ago, and Trinity's defense was a brand new scheme in August. They shut teams down in the playoffs.

 

The team that Ryle beat the last week of the season wasn't the same personnel that beat the Raiders 29-14 earlier in the year and definetly wasn't the same (healthy) team that took the field in Bowling Green yesterday and absolutely dominated Christian Co.

If the answere to these questions is less than 3 times each , what is the basis of your prediction ?

With a healthy line and Compton this team is no where near one dimensional. Not even close.

I agree. You don't understand how important Compton is to the Birds success unless you're close to the program and/or follow the Birds regularly.

 

Towles has shown he has a very good arm with accuracy. A healthy Compton to keep the defense honest opens up a lot of the field for Towles both with his legs and arm.

I never said they were scared, just that we couldn't get them on the schedule according to our AD. It could be that the open dates HHS has don't match up with any of the 4 that we have.

It is amazing that that is always the answer.....even with the reclassification? I don't buy that for a minute despite how many PM's you received. You spoke with your AD...ask one more question...was it because the dates were already filled? Trinity and Highlands should play every other year.

HHS would win some and lose some!!! This is a must game for both programs in the future at some time....

I don't have any idea why they turned us down.....just did, so did Bowling Green, Cincy X, and Elder.

My prediction is based off the multiple times i have seen highlands play. The only time they perceive to be multi-dimensional is when they play a bad team. Dale had faith in the QB this year and called his number whenever he needed a play. They had all of their best players on Defense, other than Towles, and would not beat Trinity without players like Bruns playing offense. Also, undersized on the defensive line. I can go on...JMO
