With a healthy line and Compton this team is no where near one dimensional. Not even close.

 

When and where has Compton been a force in a Varsity game? Highlands has no where near the depth they have had in the past or they would have remained a threat to run the football, against quality opponents. IMO, there are very few players from Highlands team that would even start on Trinity's team. They are just that talented.

Yesterday, CCH while he played, Ryle first game, Manual. Didn't even have to think hard on that one. Dale takes what the defense gives him but you seem to mistake that for one dimensional.

 

I think Ryle has 3 or 4 players tops who would start for HHS yet they beat us. It's how you play in your particular system and as a team that counts.

Agree to disagree. I believe the lack of a good RB in their offense limited them against good opponents. Dale did not trust streeter and didn't feel Compton was capable. It is a moot point since there was no one even close to Highlands in 5A. My original point was that Trinity has better players this year and would beat Highlands. It would take a strong argument to convince me otherwise.

Fair enough. You have to remember that Compton missed half of the games completely and large parts of other games. When he was healthy Dale showed great confidence in him and he answered. I don't disagree about Trinity but do believe if the Birds put together a complete game like against Eastern or Christian County it would be a heck of a game.
