November 26, 201015 yr And play his brother? He couldn't be much worse. Problem is CP is here for a while, and no matter who they put around him now, they won't win. He's done. He is scared to death out there, and in the NFL ya can't play scared
November 26, 201015 yr As bad as Carson has been I am not ready to dismiss him, I am interested to see how he would be with a Head Coach who knew what the heck was going on. That's my point as well. He's been bad this year, but I'm not ready to say it's his fault. I'm probably loyal to him to a fault, but I really think a lot can be said about a coach having no clue where his challenge flag is.
November 26, 201015 yr Bengals have zero other options right now at QB, so they have other problems to fix before fixing QB problem is even possible.
November 26, 201015 yr It wasn't exactly like TOs response was unprovoked, Revis said something about him first I don't blame TO for saying something back. Big difference is that one of them can back it up. The other is a blowhard.
November 26, 201015 yr I'm pretty certain there will be a really long post shortly:lol:. Wait for it...wait for it... As bad as he was he was just as good as Sanchez. He's as good as most guys in the league. They have a million issues and IMO CP isn't one of them. They are probably the only team in the NFL that doesn't start a 1st round pick on either line. Carson Palmer was bad, I mean there is no denying that. However it amazes me how, that is all you all talk about after a Bengals lost, acting like he is the reason they lost. You all act like having a new QB in there would be the big difference in this team and make them better. This team is just bad all the way around right now, Palmer included. Getting a new QB would not magically fix things like you all act. They are just bad all the way around.

He is scared to death out there, and in the NFL ya can't play scared I don't think its him being scared out there. It seems to be more that he is doing to much to try to make plays, and is just really pressing. Some of his decisions this year have been horrible, like it was early in his first year playing. He has lost his confidence, and trying to do to much with it now. He just like the rest of the team, needs a complete frest start. Fire all the coaches, draft a QB, and have him sit a year or two behind Palmer. Hopefully with the new coaches Palmer will find a 2nd life and do well, and if not play the young QB sooner.
November 26, 201015 yr I still don't think they can draft a QB in the 1st round with Carson's salary. Carson makes a boatload of money.

Didn't say he was the only problem or that Cincy would be the Super Bowl favorite with a different QB. Chill .

Its only 2 or 3 isn't it? So it would still be a lot, but not quite as much as it could be. If they could get Luck, I think they have to take him. The other guys coming out, I don't know if I am sold on to take early in the 1st round like we could. Lockard maybe, but definitely not Mallet early. At this point it looks like they definitely will have a top 3 pick. If they can get Luck, then definitely get him IMO. Or try to trade down, and get a few more picks. There are a few good young QB's they probably could get in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.

Chill . Well considering that after every Bengals lost, he is the only one you say things about. It sure makes it seem that way. There is many problems with this team, Palmer included. Its just a bad team, and let me know when you have that avatar lol.

You have to take half of what I say with a grain of salt, if not everything I say.

At some point they will let him go but it will be a few years. He went from being the best QB in the division to 3rd best in the blink of an eye.

He went from being the best QB in the division to 3rd best in the blink of an eye. He'll make an average of $16.2 M per season until he becomes a free agent after the 2014 season, which currently ranks him as the 3rd highest paid QB (there are other contracts, such as Peyton Manning's that will be re-worked after this season and cause Palmer's ranking to drop). There is no reason in the world to be paying him this kind of money. If he was so good that he could elevate the overall level of play of the Bengals' offense, that would be one thing. But to pay him top dollar to be an average-to-below-average QB on a below average team is pointless.
