I agree for the most part. However, should she land the R nomination I'm not sure if going on Fox or "friendly" media will be enough to get to those that she needs in order to swing the election her way.

I agree, I just meant in the run up to the nomination. If nominated she would have to interview everywhere. That will be bad for her but good for everyone else.

I think it's hyperbolic to suggest that only O'Reilly asks tough questions or that Democrats are only asked tough questions by O'Reilly, whichever you're inferring. At any rate, during a competitive primary every candidate is going to get pressed and scrutinized very heavily, and even if they were to somehow avoid any difficult questions they would still be forced to respond to attacks from their opponents and run through the gauntlet of televised debates. I don't believe Palin could survive that. Her only hope, in my estimation, is that her core group of supporters band together no matter what happens and the rest of the candidates split the votes amongst themselves. How would Palin respond to tough Republican questioning, especially from, say, conservative wonks looking for specifics? How would Palin look arguing against someone like Mitch Daniels on national television? Could she successfully play the victim against Mike Huckabee? I think it would ruin her.

I thought he was just inferring it would be best for her not to do the interview because she would mishandle it, regardless of the level of scrutiny. You deciphered a lot more than I did. :lol:

That has been my rationale all along. I know people like to poke at Palin, and much of it is deserved; however, I do not feel she is as dumb as many portray her to be or for that fact as dumb as she portrays herself. For surely she knows her place amongst the electorate.

I've been begging for a viable 3rd party for the last 3 elections. I guess I've been ahead of the curve :lol: but I have suffered greatly in making my decisions in the presidential election since Clinton left office. I am not a right winger (no surprise there. :lol:), and I have chosen to whole-heartedly support Obama this go-around. But honestly, had a 3rd choice been available I may have gone in that direction, provided it wasn't a Rand Paul-type candidate.
