If there is a third party candidate in 2012, I think it will be Palin. One could make the argument that the Tea Party was its own "party" in 2010, especially considering the number of incumbents/rank-and-file Repubs they knocked off in the primaries.

 

If Mrs. Palin is a 3rd-party candiate in 2012 go ahead and get the inauguration invitations printed for a 2nd term for President Obama.

They had policies as President that people were standing against and decisions that had been made.

 

Taking a stand against a policy and hating someone are two very different things.

Just based on the headlines, I thought that it was probably just an example of mis-speaking (I've done this myself many times), but after reading it in context, I'm not sure.

 

Palin has a lot against her, if she were to make a presidential run. She quit her elected office half way into her term to arguably capitalize on her celebrity status, writing books, making huge bucks at speaking engagements and staring in her own TV show...all of this during a time in which she had taken an oath to serve her Alaskan constituents. No matter how much of a Tea Party darling that she is, I don't believe that she is, in any way, electable as president.

 

I certainly hope that the republicans will NOT nominate her as their candidate. There are several worthy republican candidates that I would like to see given a chance to lead their party and would not be dissatisfied if elected. Heck, who knows? I might even vote for one! :scared:

But the choice to duck Couric, coupled with the bolded, leads me to believe that ex-Governor Palin simply does not have the intestinal fortitude that it takes to be "the leader of the free world". I'm not saying there will be a third party candidate, but I am saying that if there is, Palin will be it.

 

I also believe Obama gets re-elected regardless of who the Republicans (or a third party) put up against him.

I agree with the bolded. Any chance of her being elected as President went away when she resigned from her governor position.

I think that Bristol and Willow are very interesting names. That doesn't make me pro-Palin.

Right now, I shudder to say I'd rather see her in charge than Obama or Palin. That might shock a few of you.

IMO, Hillary is in the best position in her life at the moment. No matter what she will be able run for the 2016 office and she will have a better resume with being Secretary of State for eight years..I don't think she will run in 2012 just so she can have more years of dealing with foreign affairs on her record.
