WYMT Breaking New Ground

Featured Replies

They were only biased for Hazard, Perry Central and Leslie this year. All hometown stations are. That was OK, but unnerving at times. I don't have that concern as much for this game, although if Sheldon Clark wins that'll screw up their show. The field goal was real news, so I didn't have a problem with it. Kind of like instant replay...just not instant.

I think that i can remember last year the Lex Cath-Boyle County game being televised. Great game in which Catholic won by a point after going for two at the end of the game.. i may be wrong, but someone refresh my memory

Brian Milam announced on tonights broadcast that WYMT Sports would be broadcasting the Belfry / Sheldon Clark game live from CAM Stadium in Belfry this Friday night.

That is nothing new, they have broadcast games live on several occasions.

But the new twist is this, WYMT is going to hang around and broadcast Sports Overtime live on location from CAM Stadium at 11:20 Friday night also.

That is pretty innovative, IMO. He said it will be like College Gameday, broadcasting from the stadium.

Way to go Brian and WYMT. Always looking for something new and always coming out on top. Thanks for all you do. :thumb:

Now, who is going to come to the game and then hang around for the broadcast? :dancingpa

:ylsuper: :thumb: :thumb:

If your a fan who had planned on going to the game, but will now stay home and watch it on TV, then your not the kind of fan I want to stand next to. I am speaking of Belfry fans of course.

There are always exceptions. I realize it will be cold, so people who are ill or very elderly are understandable. Bottom line, GET DOWN TO CAM!

How about this....to borrow from a Marshall theme, propose this in the Belfry community

"Jam the Cam" and give the 1,000 paying customer a chance to kick a field goal at halftime and win some funds.

Does anyone expect a contingent (fan) from the winning team to stick around after the game for the Sports Overtime (ala College Gameday), or will WYMT take efforts to close it off?

I would love to see the winning coach interviewed or something along those lines.

Apparently so. Not sure I follow you here but sometimes Im a little slow. :sssh:

Seems you are not the only one a little slow

not even close to follow that statement

This is great news, I know I will be there until it is all over!

My parents and I are always there early and stay til it is completely over and I guess this week we will be staying a whole lot longer.

Go WYMT :dancingpa :flame:

Me either.

According to what Brian said last night, that is exactly the type of atmosphere they're hoping for. He even encouraged fans from other games played nearby to drop in after the game they attended is over. I think it's a great idea.

I think its a joke they are showing Belfry vs. Sheldon Clark live and not Bell vs. Rock!

Just kidding, I think its a wondeful idea. People don't realize outside of SE Ky I dont belive how big sports overtime is. Every back home watches it!

I agree. There will be thousands of people at the Bell/Rock game. Not sure how many will show up for the Belfry game. Isn't it supposed to be a blowout.

WYMT has the best sports show. Better than the bigger stations in louisville.

Now thats a game I would watch (Rock vs Bell) wymt is great in showing these games. Overtime being on site will be great, IMO their sports coverage area is far to wide, I live in southeastern Ky. I've never been to either Belfery or S. Clark sounds like this will be a very good game, but I would much rather see Rock vs Bell because I have seen these coaches and players. But, HATS OFF! TO WYMT all teams enjoy the coverage they do get. :ylsuper:

Can it get any bigger than this? If Friday doesn't hurry and get here I'm going to blow a gasket! The excitement level is at a fever pitch!!! And we still have another game after this one before we make history! :dancingpa ( Needless to say I'm a very optimistic person.)
