Against six Class A opponents, he has rushed 47 times for 959 yards, producing an average of 20.4 yards and 23 TDs.

 

In five non-district games against Dixie, Highlands, Covington Catholic, Newport Catholic, and Covington Holy Cross, he carried the ball 77 times for 526 yards and 6 TDs with an average of 6.8 per carry.

This stat line is pretty crazy. Half the times he carried the ball against 1A teams, he scored a TD. And 20.4 yards a carry tells you that those TD runs were not goal line situations. In fact, I would guess as many as 20 of the TD runs were 30 yards or more. He is threat to score every time he touches it against any opponent from any where on the field. Best of all, with all of this success he is an extrremely modest and respectful young man. He is an example to all of excellence with humility.

Made a believer out of me. He reminds me a little of Jeff Lubrecht. A little shorter, but same build, same speed. He is tougher to bring down than Lubrect was. Very, very strong kid.

Cameron is a special kid. Like his coach said you watch him in practice and give him the "eye test" you wouldn't think he would be that good. But he has the heart of a lion and determination that makes him something special.

Great article, and appears to be a great kid. I really enjoy reading stories about kids like Cameron. Hopefully he can lead Beechwood to another state title.

I was a believer when I saw him slice and dice the Birds in that Frosh Championship game 2 yrs ago. The kid has swivel hips and runs extremely hard. Good luck to him and I hope he gets a shot at playing RB in college somewhere.

I watched Beechwood walk onto the field against NewCath and wondered where all the size had gone. When I played, their line avg. about 255 across the front. This year's group is svelte. Vocke looked itty bitty. Then he broke off 60 yards on his first run. His low center of gravity and balance are incredible.

I have had the opportunity to watch this young man since he was 6 year's old and what an amazing young man on or off the field. You will find

no better person than him. He is and exceptional athelete and student and will go far in life. I only wish him the best and like everyone else

Kind of similar to my comparison of Vocke too. Having played Beechwood in the past, I believe that Vocke's body frame and strength is very similar to what Broeckhoft was and his speed and ability to make defenders miss tackling him is similar to that of Lubrecht, a very good combination to have in comparison to two very talented RBs out of Beechwood.

I would think so, I'd say his chances are better between D2 and 3, possibly some potential for D1.
