Colin Cowherd on John Wall

Featured Replies

Hearing things like this make me sad I never graduated from college. If this moron can have a show on ESPN then I could have had a show too. I hate when these 'national journalists' make senseless and baseless statements. People all across the nation will now wrongly have the wrong view of Wall because of this moronic statement. It's a shame really.

Colin never graduated college so you still have some hope. :D He dropped out of Eastern Washington.

He had 29/13 with 9 steals the other night. If Cowherd had ever actually played a sport, or if he'd actually paid attention to what the stats really mean, he'd have a better clue. As for Rondo, he's great, and would appear more of a "me first" guy if he could actually score. On that team he doesn't need to, and it's a good thing.

I never could get past the sound of his voice to even be able to focus on what he is saying. Needless to say no matter how inflamatory his thoughts get, I don't listen.

And it might be the worst show on TV...
I agree. But it's usually on when I get home so I'm generally casually watching to check out Beadle.

When I read the article by SportsbyBrooks, the 1st thing I thought was:

Boom! Roasted.

So that is what they call it now.

Yeah pretty much, but the beauty about radio is Colin can just forget about it all and move on and no one gets to call him out on it..

So that is what they call it now.

Kids these days...

His rationale about Wall is entirely hypocritical, as he stated that the dancing makes him selfish. Of course, Cowherd's favorite player is LeBron James, who would never do anything to call attention to himself...

But as others have said, Cowherd says things to get attention. He is to sports talk what Bill Maher is to political talk.

I'm a fan of his radio show (not so much his TV gig). He's usually pretty dead-on (even the Reds/Fraud thing) but on this one he's COMPLETELY wrong in almost every area.

He just wants ratings, he is giving Charlie Villanuvue heck today for saying what KG said public.

He is now talking about how everybody is ripping him on internet for his comments on John Wall.

I didn't hear his comments yesterday but read them and the one that caught my attention was the one about him not being smart.

I listened to him today and it's not what I read yesterday. He doesn't like him as a PG on a team he would have. Says he plays too fast and doesn't have a great NBA PG IQ. It's a style thing. Said the same thing about Derrick Rose. He's old school as he likes Stockton.

So it's probably been blown up to be more than it should be - sort of like the Reds thing.
