The bottom line is that there are weaknesses on this team that can be filled by very talented and athletic players (i.e. playmakers) that should be playing both ways. It's one and out now. I'd be throwing everything but the kitchen sink at teams now. The Birds need a threat in the backfield besides Towles. Teams are going to key on him. Long passes have rarely been successful of late, and Highlands hasn't had a breakaway run outside of Towles the entire year. Highlands D has carried the past few champs and this year is no exception, but injuries have hurt them as evidenced by points allowed of late. The offense must be strengthened come CCH II/JC game.

Highlands D has been on the field way too long.

Relax Francis, Towles is not the only one to have a long run apparently you haven't been watching the entire year. When Compton was healthy the offense had other big runs as well and they will again. Dale and the coaching staff know what they are doing and this team will rebound from ONE loss. Sometimes the Highland's faithful can be over the top with their comments. Instead of bashing this team we should be supporting them!!! The loss to Ryle isn't the end of the season and it may be the best thing that could have happen to this team to get them focused for whats ahead.

Woodford is in a rebuilding year. This game should help with build them for next year. Looking forward to seeing a game in the bird's nests from the visitors sideline throw footballs at the refs :D. good luck to all the Highlands fans.

Just wondering if some of the very talented freshmen are moving up and can they help fill in some of the holes created by injuries?

You are kiddin right?

From what I've heard, most, if not all, of the ~40 Frosh are continuing to practice and will suit up tomorrow night. Not sure what the total # of players expected to dress tomorrow night will be, but it could be a fairly impressive / intimidating mass of bodies during pregame warmups and on the sideline. Hope someone gets a picture.

It will be intimidating for Woodford to come to Ft Thomas and see the extra bodies. Tomorrow nite is "Lock em up nite" for the Frosh. LOL. Go Birds 20n10

Why is it that everytime someone makes a suggestion that may be logical to that poster and many others, they are accused of bashing the program? Whackem supports the program, I know that for a fact. Are there some sort of conditions that need to be adhered to in order to be a Highlands fan? Please advise if there are.

Has anyone seen Leatherneck? I am worried about that guy.

Will do hope to get there around 5:30 or 6. To check out the stadium and the atmosphere before we get on the field.

Good idea parking can be a battle but will be fine around then. There is a Subway at the top of the road if you need any pregame food!

...or the 915...and they serve adult beverages!

You are kiddin right?

As good as they are for "FRESHMAN", I was thinking the same thing. Lets not get ahead of ourselves people.

They say that every year and every year in the 1st playoff game they put in some select Frosh. I dont expect this week to be any different.
