Im thinking there are some very talented Sophmores and Juniors that will get in before the Frosh. Hopefully the JV plays the whole 2nd half.

I know one purpose of this forum is for open debate about the football programs & their strategies, but I gotta agree with NCBIRD on this one. Dale has won state championships in HALF of the seasons he's coached Highlands, so until I see a significant drop-off in production, I'm inclined to give him & his staff the benefit of the doubt. If CCH had a coach that won like that they'd be promoting him for sainthood!

IMO, Dale doesn't do anything that's not calculated into the bigger picture of what he's trying to accomplish. As much as I'd like to see a couple of the kids going both ways (and have mentioned it on BGP), I've got to believe there's a very good reason he's chosen not to do so.

I would love to know that reason.

Plenty of Sophs and Jrs will play in this one but just like when those boys were frosh and got on the field, so will this year's group.

Since I asked the question, why not respond to my follow up comment? Why is over the top to think that a talented freshmen can fill in for an injured varsity starter in Week 1 of the playoffs where typically there's a 40+ point spread?

You act like I was trying to stir the pot or had some type of agenda. I wasn't and don't.

No wonder people on BGP give the Highlands posters a hard time, you can't even ask a question without getting jumped by "those who have all the answers".

Your point is well taken NameCips. The answer is known by any player that practiced this week, or during this week for the past 3 years. The freshman class is very talented and had an amazing season. I think that any parent/friend or player that made the transition during the previous 2007, 2008, or 2009 season, when their kids were freshman, thought just as you are now. These 38 guys are great athletes. However, there are plenty of varsity players that are available to, and will replace varsity players. Any upperclassman that dressed as a freshman during the previous playoffs, will tell these guys to enjoy the ride. It will be an awesome experience for them.

There isn't any player or coach that is going into this game looking at it as a 40+ point spread. There is no such thing. They remember the Bryan Station game. The attitude is more like never underestimate your opponent.
