of late I've seen bucks cruising and following in the general area of doe bedding areas, but I haven't seen much chasing. What's it looking like for this weekend? They are calling for mid 60's and low 30's in a.m. for sat. I hope we see some better action. Not much movement this past weekend.....

Cruised down to the farm last night. My trail cam didn't show me too much. A small 6 and an OK 8.

we get a lot of pressure from other hunters so not sure if the 8 pointer will make it through the weekend.

That's a shame. Can't grow big bucks if you keep shootin' the little en's

I agree, too many little farms where we hunt with too many hunters.

I've seen the results of good buck management and it can turn out some beasts. Just hard to convince all of the neighbors to do the same!

Amen to that brother! What can you do ya know?

Deer management is great, but be happy folks still allow some of us to hunt! Some people enjoy eating deer more than staring at em on a wall.

Harvest the does, put the bucks on the wall (after you eat them)

Henry said she saw a nice buck "having relations" with a doe yesterday at 4 in the afternoon in the front yard of a home on N. Ft. Thomas Ave. She was walking one of our dogs and cars were driving by. The performance couldn't have been more than 20 yds from the street. Buck didn't care as he was taking care of business. Should be a nice weekend for you deer hunters. Good luck.

TMI.

I killed a nice 10 pt yesterday, opening morning. He came up the trail behind a doe about 15 minutes after. Nothing he did led me to believe he was hot on her trail. I did cheat however, I double lunged him with my .300WSM 180gr Barnes bullet. Didn't even need the rangefiner.
