Deer unresponsive to calls, bucks feeding heavy though getting ready for rut, scrapes and rubs freshened up alot in my area and frequented. Bucks Necks now swollen on Monday evening though, the 3 mature bucks I seen at least. I think its a few weeks before big ones chase.

time to rattle them horns, boyz. The bucks are making scrapes and checkin' for business. Now is a great time to prey on his manhood.

Father-in-law killed a 130 class 8pt yesterday in Ohio with his crossbow. Said the young bucks chasing does, saw 3 mature deer including the one he harvested and none were hot on does.

Saw a monster buck following does in Pendleton County Saturday. Not really chasing, but he was interested. He was also 150yds away. Saw nice (125-130) buck last night pushing three does in Campbell County. They wouldn't let him get too close. He was getting some size in his neck but not all there yet. Watched them from my truck for about 30 minutes till dark. They are getting close. Time to rattle and grunt.

Who's going out this weekend and what's been going on in your neck of the woods? I have seen bucks following does and alot of movement. This weekends' cold should have em' up and moving. I am hoping for a good weekend. I plan on hunting all day sat.

I will be out for a while this weekend. I saw 2 small bucks chasing the last couple of days. I had one nice 10 point within 80 yards that would be about 140-150 but he bedded down and he wasn't interested in the does out in the field.

Taking the midget to Grayson Lake Saturday. They have a youth only quota hunt. Going in by boat to a spot I frequent during turkey season. Hoping to grunt in a swarper for him to take a crack at. I have to brag on the boy a bit, he can flat out shoot. He shoots nearly every day. Bow, gun, whatever. Killed an 8 pt running with a .50cal muzzleloader last fall. Cut his eye down leaning in on the scope, but folded the buck like a cheap suit. With his 7mm08 he's good out to 300, but where we'll be going, he'll likely be less than 100. One gets in range and gives him a split second, I suppose I may be hauling that thing to the front of the boat.

14" 8pt chasing 4 does, they were faster than him. Kinda reminded me of me when I was 16. Going back out this afternoon.

Busted at dusk moving around to try and stay warm.....I was freezing out there last night.....This City Boy is starting to get frustrated.

Does, Does, and more does.....morning and evenings! I think I need to start hunting the middle of the day.....UGH!

Big bucks everywhere not been able to seal the deal, bucks only cruising, not seen many does at all last few days. But seen a lot of bucks. Out of Range.

Went Saturday morning and saw 3 young bucks. All were looking for love. I rattle a bit and had a fork horn respond. I would say this week will be prime to catch a big boy cruising.

A friend of mine this past Sat.....

22 pt killed in Southern Campbell County....

Nice Deer!!!
