Never been to Boyle Co HS, is the game/field on campus?

 

What is the quickest way to get there? Will be leaving work from Northern Cincinnati around 3:00pm, is that enough time to get there by game time?

 

 

Take I-75 to Lexington. Take New Circle Road to The Bluegrass Parkway via Versailles Road. Take the Bluegrass Parkway to the Harrodsburg/Lawrenceburg exit(I think it is exit 59). Go towards Harrodsburg. Drive down around 12 miles to the 127 Bypass and turn left. The bypass is about 2-3 miles long and drive the entire bypass and turn left on to highway 127. Drive down about 8-10 miles into Danville. Boyle County High School will be on your left. The game is at the soccer field and there will be a light at the fairgrounds(there is a BP gas station across the street from your turn)and you will need to turn left at that light to get to the soccer field. Actually there are 3 schools, Woodlawn Elementary, Boyle County Middle and Boyle County High School but you will be turning before you reach the campus. If you turn in at the campus you can see the soccer field from the campus and you should see where you need to go. I hope that helps. That's the easiest way I would think.

I don't know how far Ft. Thomas is from Lexington but we are about 45 minutes away from Lexington. I would think if you left at 3 you'll make it in plenty of time. Especially if you get on New Circle Road as soon as you can. Lexington traffic is awful going into the city so if you take New Circle to Versailles road you will avoid a lot of traffic. Harrodsburg Road, Nicholasville Road and Richmond Road are horrendous at that time of day.

With the new home and home series announced for 2011 and 2012, and now this last-minute frosh game being scheduled, it's as if Highlands and Boyle County are now BFFs.

Does Homer Rice have a Centre connection? Know he has HHS, Georgia Tech, Bengals roots. By the way, when is kickoff for the colonels ? May do the Centre/ UK doubleheader if time permits. While I'm off topic, any way your husband could make a guest appearance on Kentuckypreps. Just took a peek on preps and our birds are getting ravaged over the Mitchell ruling. Lots of misinformation but one bird friendly fan is putting up quite a fight.

I'm quite sure that any debate or discussion about the forfeit situation is entirely futile... people on both sides of the issue still have very strong feelings about the matter, despite the fact that this happened several years ago.

 

I am very happy for all the players on that 2004 Highlands team. I am sure that it took something away from their amazing title-winning season when their W-L record was changed to 2-13 by the KHSAA. Now that the record is restored back to 14-1, I'd have to think that things are sitting a lot better with those players now.

 

I am also very happy for the Highlands program, as a major blemish has now been officially removed from the program's rich history, plus it's really bolstered where they stand nationally (in terms of wins).

 

Back to this topic, I am glad that a game was able to be put together so quickly... best of luck to HHS and kudos to BC and HHS for putting this together.

Highlands will more than likely beat Boyle County's freshman team. They are struggling but they have some potential. Hopefully Boyle County can make it competitive.

Lets get this done right now for 2011 between these 2 Frosh teams so we don't have to worry about an open spot for next year. I'm sure Boyle will return the favor next year to come to Ft Thomas.

 

 

And we might be able to swing this game to be played at DCM and not in Death Valley!!!
