It's better than letting it melt away in banks.

Netflix is down 45.47% for me and I'm still in the green overall.

You still holding? It's down another 20% since this post.

I am still holding. I'm long on them.

I think that will pay off in the future. Might be an opportunity to add some more.

My biggest debate now isn't around Netflix. It's around Apple. Can I cash in and do better with my money than I can from this point on with Apple? If it goes up $50 that's only an 8% gain. My guess is there are others out there than can top that.

I'd agree, keep a small position out of your profits possibly but move on to other things.

I was feeling good about Apple when it was up there in the $700+ stratosphere, but now I'm not sure whether to hang in there or jump ship.

Nope. I sold a couple stocks in order to pay down some student loans.

Netflix and Apple were the big ones. I figured Apple may have capped out. The higher it goes, the lower % profit you make. And I sold Netlfix to offset some of the gains I made in Apple.

I'm not sure you worded that correctly.

Probably not, I was in a hurry.

This is a pretty important time for APPL with this IMO...

The iPad Mini starts at $329 for a 16GB model. Pre-Orders start Friday.

Wish that price would have been in the 200s, mainly 259.00. For 70 bucks more you can get a big iPad unless there trying to phase it out.

Did some calculations today. Between realized and unrealized profits, I'm up roughly 25% since last August. I'll probably use the money I have in the market for a down payment on a house sometime in the spring so I'm debating selling before the cliff ruins the market

A while ago I gave my oldest son a few Apple shares. Today he started a new gig and found out he has to divest himself of those shares due to his new employer doing audit and advisory for Apple.

Too bad he didn't know that was coming when it was at $700.

Sidebar for a sec for you guys........

Can I open a 529 plan or something for my kids college, even though I dont have kids yet? or do I just have to go with the do it on my own for now tactic?
