Likely because he was playing against taller, older and more physical kids. I would expect as he gets older and more on an even playing field with others that his percentage will get better. I believe Hatton is 15 and he is suppossed to be a sophomore. He was held back in grade school.

A 15 yo freshman is not abnormal. He will be 18 when he graduates. Correct?

I know I've brought this up several times but I can still remember coaching down in the Turner's league a couple years ago and watching Brandon drop 51in a game as a 6th or 7th grader. No doubt the kid can fill it up and pull from anywhere.

 

He was crossing the halfcourt line and jacking up shots and making them.

But, he is actually a freshman who is 15.

He will be 16 freshman before this spring. I am not saying anything negative. Just stating a fact.

Back to the thread because I think the horse has been beaten on the Hatton age issue before. LOL

 

If I would have known what i know now i would have done the same with my son but likely started him in grade school later. He is same age as Hatton but a sophomore and has a spring birthday. The extra year of physical maturity is the advantage. As far as basketball skills, you either have it or you dont by Frosh year.

I don't believe this is a fact considering Hatton's birthday doesnt fall before the spring(official first day of spring for 2011 is March 20th). He is fifteen years of age and his birthdate is April 28th,1995. Hopefully that will clear up his age and we can stay on topic. Somehow when speaking about certain athletes age continually becomes a question. This should be everyones answer.

But doesn't the half court line intersect the key at Turner's?

That is funny.....I couldnt handle that place after a few games. Neat atmosphere but too small of a court and a drop in the floor on the right side.
