I looked at the list and wondered if Corey Rogers graduated?? I thought they had everyone back. No way Corey Rgers is not top 10 in the 10th. Also I would rate GRC at the top in this region. With the talent they have they should win this region and make a serious run at the State Title.

Agree 100%. Think the 10th region needs to have the coaches poll to rank the teams and players like some other regions do.

That would be Scott HS on December 4 in Taylor Mill. Hopefully it will still be a good game for GRC!

My bad for putting out the wrong information. I will make a note on my schedule. That will will still be a good game though!

The player rankings are a joke. To leave Jaylen Daniels off that list is absolutely crazy, if not insane. There are also a few players that could replace a few of those guys.

Strictly, in my opinion:

1. Jaylen Daniels, Clark

2. Robbie Stenzel, Clark

3. Vinny Zollo, Clark

4. Treg Setty, Mason

5. Corey Rogers, Clark

6. Omar Prewitt, Mont.

7. Neal Pawsat, Mason

8. Aaron Jacobs, Paris

9. Kyle King, Dem.

10. Travis Purvis, Clark

Okay, before you erupt, here is my defense. Jaylen Daniel has enough athletic ability to put him at a bigger school than EKU or Western where his two teammates are going. Treg Setty is a good player. We saw that last year, but isn't on the same planet as the top three I mentioned. Corey Rogers is just as good as anyone in the state. If any of the Clark County kids were on another team, they would be stars. Omar Prewitt is an absolute gym rat, so it could be possible that he passed up a lot of people over the summer. Pawsat is another guy were putting on the list because of his performances last year. Aaron Jacobs is the sleeper. 6'7". He gets no mention because Paris was not good last year, but he was All-Region and made the first team All-Star team at Blue Chip camp this summer the session I worked. I guess you have to put one of the Kings on there. The Purvis kid is so underrated, but you all we'll be jawdropping when you watch him play for Clark this year. 6'7" and can stroke it.

Clarks 6th man surely must be no. 11.

Yes Mr. Rogers is doing a fine job as Mr. Cousins' Assistant.......

I'm a little late to the party here but it appears this year's preview is the same as it has been the past 2-3 years ala Clark/Mason at #1 and #2 with Scott as the darkhorse at #3 to take the region.

I'm a little unsure at this point how Scott's team will fare as we lost some key players last year but we do return one of the best guards in the state in Kellen Smith so he will be able to direct and run our offense efficiently like a PG is supposed to. We had a very talented freshman team (won NKY frosh tournament over Holmes, and went to 10th Region Tournament as well) last year so it will be interesting as to how we incorporate some of those players on the varsity team now that they are sophomores.

I think we will take some lumps early but we should be very solid down the stretch.

He is living the dream.

I think the lists are great. It gets guys like us all fired up about the conjecture. All I can say is the same thing I said last year: "The Royals are the champs till someone knocks them off" and that's proven to be a tough task regardless of the talent level over the past few years. Coaching and tradition are huge contributors to success......

Home court helps also.

To my knowledge Cory is the leading scorer for GRC so far this season. Huge mistake on leaving him and Jaylan Daniel both off the list.

With several games being played so far this season, your thoughts on the teams and player rankings now.

Pendleton county has to be the most confusing team in the region. They beat Montgomery County, but lose to Augusta and lose big to Bracken County.

I would argue that Campbell County is the #3 team and Nate Losey and Nate McGovney should be considered as top players.

I bet you also think that coach Humphries should be named Coach of the Year in the 10th. I would have thought that the last two years with the talent that has been in that GRC program. I was proved otherwise wrong with my thinking.
