It's always going to be up and down with 6A NKY schools. Boone keeps building schools and spreading the talent out. They should be more like Kenton County schools and build facilites for athletics.... and yes SK#1 I know they(SK) have a turf field and a bubble.

A bubble? I didn't know they had a bubble news to me. They do have an indoor complex with an indoor field, weight room and locker room.

I think that a team going 2-8 every 3rd year would be a sign of trouble for a program.

I think that happened after week 1.

Ok, so let's get back to the question at hand. What's going on and how can it be fixed THIS season? If the JV quarterback is that awesome, is he ready for the varsity level? JV is just that -JV. Developmental but it doesn't buy you a playoff birth. I think Conner's quarterback, Smith is super athletic-can he be a wide receiver or RB and contribute even more with Barker at the helm? We need wins NOW!

Conner has some good players I just think SK is that much better.

Wait a minute, SK has a indoor facility. That's pretty cool! How many other teams in NKY have indoor facilities?

Conner could be a major beneficiary of the new alignment. It appears that they will be in a 5A district with Scott High and Grant County, along with maybe South Oldham or Montgomery County. They could possibly become a championship contender based upon what is likely to be left in that class.

 

Conner would be very competitive if that's the district. Where they're at now is a tough spot to be in.

No question about it. I am not sure how any school could expect to remain competitive at the 6A level after what they lost when Cooper opened their doors. Conner got wiped out. It was a great thing to relieve the over crowding issue, but from an athletic standpoint, it was devastating.

Sounds like you need to grab a box of tissues. It happened, it's over with. Move on or let it kill you. Your frosh QB is decent, I give you that. Is he done growing? Who knows. He looks very matured for a freshman. SK has a lot of young talent. Anything can happen in a couple of years. Swanson may not even be the future QB. Our feeder programs are doing quite well. I would take the NKYFL over the Boone Co. League anyday. I know that first hand. Sounds like your the one with the memory problem, cause it's been a while since we had a beatdown from "Conner'. 48-6 is a BEATDOWN! That game friday was like a 6A playing a 1A.
