He looks very matured for a freshman. SK has a lot of young talent. Anything can happen in a couple of years. Swanson may not even be the future QB. Our feeder programs are doing quite well. I would take the NKYFL over the Boone Co. League anyday. I know that first hand. Ok, so let's get back to the question at hand. What's going on and how can it be fixed THIS season? If the JV quarterback is that awesome, is he ready for the varsity level? JV is just that -JV. Developmental but it doesn't buy you a playoff birth. I think Conner's quarterback, Smith is super athletic-can he be a wide receiver or RB and contribute even more with Barker at the helm? We need wins NOW!

 

The JV qb is good but he's the qb next year. Cy Smith is not the problem at Conner so the qb debate is useless.

He played the entire JV game at QB. So are you saying he was tired on Saturday morning now? C'mon man, are you kidding me? So he's a Varsity starter? What in the world is he doing playing JV in the first place? If you honestly believe that he will fill Lawrence's shoes, you have lost all credibility with me. Not even close. Exactly. I have seen several say that after Lawrence graduated SK would back to 4-6 seasons. But, I remember last year people saying the same thing about Simpson. So, which is it? What about next year, is there another performer? I think some just don't like it that a new school is building a quality program.

 

Or, they just don't like having their noses rubbed in it.

Never said one time that SK was not a contender for 6A this year. They have a very good team, and the reason is Lawrence. Take him off of this team and they would be lucky to have a winning record. He is a difference maker. You are right when you say that they are not as good as last year when they had Simpson and they will have another drop off next year when Lawrence leaves. You are right........a lot of good things to come in Independence THIS year, but after that, it will be back to mediocrity. Now back to the thread topic...............please.
