BG has solid players, just not near the depth of Trinity. There D is very good, but, I suspect Trinity's line will be able to move the ball, at times, enough to score a few times, but, not just run it up at will, as BG will get some stops. The problem for the Purples will be picking up enough 1st downs and moving the chains enough to give that D some breathers. If they don't do that and the D is on the field 65% of the time, eventually, they'll wear down and T should take over the game late. I look for BG to keep it respectable for 3 qtrs with T adding a couple of late scores to pull away...T 38 BG 10

BG's quarterback is 2 year starter jr. Scooter Hollis. He has really improved his passing game and throws a decent ball but will give up an interception or two when pressured. He does most of his damage running especially when his protection breaks down. He rushed for over 100 yards last week against Owensboro. If he wasn't a three sport star and played only football I think he would and may stiill be one of the best run first pass second quarterbacks in the state next year. Just a great kid . That being said, I think he may really struggle against the pressure he'll likely see from Trinity. I think Trinity will have some success on the ground but will be able to pass with relative ease against an undersized BG defensive backfield and linebackers . I'm looking for a 28-10 kind of score with BG scoring on a few big plays but struggling to put together sustained drives. Ought to be a great game and BG will get only better for playing it.

I have the utmost respect for the BG program and team. IMHO - they have always played T tough. NO gimme game by any means. Great fans as well. As well stated by others - will be interesting to see how the young Rocks rebound from last Friday night - top notch opponent or not. HOw well do they deal with adversity.

Just going off previous years, there is nothing that indicates that Trinity will score in bunches. While BG isn't has big as Cincy X and Elder on D, I'd be willing to bet that neither one of those teams move and blitz as much as BG. Trinity may be better than last year, but word is that BG is better than a year ago too. Trinity O vs BG D will be a very good battle!!

I am going with Bowling Green by a TD.

No offense Purples, you guys are a class act, but Trinity wins this one by 35+. The Rocks have too much this year and you have yet to face anything this year close to what is coming to Bowling Green on Friday night.
