I can remember a time in the not so distant past when I considered your posts relevant & somewhat insightful, Ox. Sadly it appears that that time has past. This site is for serious discussion of Ky high school football & the threads are clearly marked so how about knocking off this ridiculous hyperbole & get back to the discussion at hand.

 

I believe that Tiger Nation is worried about the next couple of years so they have gone the passive aggressive route. Forgive them, they can't help it.

I don't know about you, but I don't consider it an exaggeration (or "hyperbole" for those who don't know what "exaggeration" is) but serious and factual when a Bowling Green team, who by their own admission is not as strong as the past couple seasons, is about to confront a Trinity team whose resume includes the following:

- a sophomore WR who won the State 3A 200m title as a freshman

- a sophomore LB/DE who has claimed two (2) defensive MVP honors at national level camps, one of which was at the University of Oklahoma

- a sophomore QB who has completed 75% of his passes for 846 yards so far

- a returning senior RB who rushed for over 1,500 yards, who is backed up by a junior RB and a sophomore RB who both have as much talent as the starter

- an OL that returns most starters for last year's State Championship Runnerup team

- ETC., ETC., ETC.....I could go on and on...

I'll be the first to admit that Trinity is the class of KY prep football right now, but you paint a picture of a team that cannot be slowed down or stopped. And yet, I seem to remember that Trinity struggled at times against a mediocre Manaul squad this year. I am inclined to think that BG will be a better opponent than Manual was. Again, I'm not saying Trinity will lose this game (if I had to bet, I would of course pick Trinity!), but come on, man, the team's not invincible!

People must really be drinking the purple koolaid. Trinity is ranked numbe one in all polls and as you and I both know this is the best Trinity team ever only to be surpassed by next year's team. You have laid out the facts and they still do not get it. Trinity wins this game big. Sorry Purples but it is what it is, all we can do is hope.

If X beats Trinity next week, what will have happened? Will it be the greatest upset in the T-X series or will you say that Trinity has been grossly overrated or that X is really coming on strong, or some other other silly sentiments consistent with the tripe that has been put forth by the erstwhile X faithful----who now exhibit a morbid fascination with things Trinity?

Because of a family situation my plans to attend the game have been altered. Here is my question to the Purple fans: Is there a website where I can listen to the BG call, if any, of the game? It's on the radio here in Louisville - 970 - but I like to hear the opponent's call to get some perspective.
