September 19, 201016 yr Jets outscore the Pats 18-0 in the second half without Revis. Sanchise played his best game of his NFL career today as well.
September 19, 201016 yr As it has been said, the Jets will go as far as Sanchez takes them. He played great and they get a victory, it is that easy. Let me say this, though. Folks don't like the Jets or Rex and want to bury them. The sky wasn't falling after week 1. The Jets will be around all season, IMO. Don't ever over emphasize the performance of a team after week 1. We could all see a Pats - Ravens AFC title games after week 1 and the Jets and Bengals were trash. Week 2 has shown us that some folks may have punched that ticket a little too early. BTW, Revis did't come back and had been nursing the hammy all week. I don't think it was fair to question the legitimacy of that injury, but that is my opinion as a Jet fan, so take it for what it is worth.
September 19, 201016 yr Jets got it done late, despite alot of adversity over the past week. Not a bad performance really, but certainly MUCH better in the 1st half. After seeing the Bengals vs Pats and Jets vs Ravens, in which last weeks winners were losers this week I still can't fiure out each team. Perhaps these 4 teams will be very solid teams this year, or perhaps it's still too early to tell.
September 20, 201016 yr Jets slaughter the Pats, who slaughtered the Bengals, yet the Ravens beat the Jets who lost to the Bengals. Oh the NFL
September 20, 201016 yr Author Revis has been a distraction. I think it would be poetic if he didn't play for several weeks because of his hammy.
September 20, 201016 yr Revis has been a distraction. I think it would be poetic if he didn't play for several weeks because of his hammy. It would be ironic if they finally paid him, he gets hurt, sits out a few games, and the defense doesn't miss a beat. The Jets looked like a different team...well, offensively. The defense was great as usual.
September 20, 201016 yr Still not impressed with the Jets...This game seemed more like a result of the Patriots shooting themselves in the foot rather than the Jets taking it. Sanchez surprised me, but I think I'd still take almost any starting QB in the league over him (as well as a couple backups).

Seemed pretty convient that his hamstring started hurting right after he got dusted by Moss. But when he didn't come back into the game, I realized it was real.

But when he didn't come back into the game, I realized it was real. He was not moving well all game and he was held out of practice last week. It is common for these hold-outs to suffer this type of injury because they are not in game shape. Moss made one of the better catches you will ever see. Revis should not have let him get deep, but it looked like there was supposed to be a safety helping out on the play. Edited September 20, 201016 yr by bugatti

With a hurt hammy, it's just a peninsula, not an island apparently.
