I think this is a great year for QB play in NKY. Any thoughts/surprises thus far?

3 D1 QBs is certainly unusual.

One thing I noticed is that they seem to be getting bigger overall. Pike and Towles are not only tall but thick. Arlinghaus at HC is about 6'3. Two frosh QBs Barker @ Conner and Dressman @ CCH are good size for their age. Hempel is about 6'2.

Just read where Pike is listed at 6'5'' 220. Is he playing both ways?

Pike is playing both ways and he is a stud.

Don't forget about the little guys like Jesse Jensen of Holmes, Cy Smith of Conner, and Demetri Brown of Newport.

 

This is certainly a year where there is a lot of good QB play in nky.

 

Oh...and the Lawrence kid from Sk. I think that's his last name, right?

N.Ky has a very deep stable of QBs this year, who can throw and run. It will be interesting to see how many play QB in college and where they end up.

 

The Highchew kid from NCC should be in the conversation as well. He's had a good year so far.

I'll agree with you before sk#1 puts up his post. He may not be as big or strong as some, but I have not seen a football player with a bigger heart. Without Lawrence, S.K. might win 2 or 3 games this year.

Conner's Cy Smith has 959 yards and 10 TDs also 274 rushing yards. CovCath's Blake Bir has 719 yards passing and 8 TDs.

The Qb play has been good for years in Kentucky and this year as well as next year have some really good prospects. It's a shame KY doesn't get the recognition the other states receive because our boys can play. Maybe this will change with Hemple and Pike receiving offers and it's just a matter of time before Towles is mentioned.

No argument here...I stated at the beginning of the year I thought Towles and Hemple were the two best QB's to begin the season. I know alot of schools are looking at him, I'm just waiting for the first offer and the others will fall in line.

I not sure he is at the level of QB's we are discussing yet....
