September 9, 201016 yr Author And a little Chris Welsh math to end the night. "In their last 27 games at Coors Field, the Reds are 6-22.":lol:
September 9, 201016 yr He struck out his 1st 2 times last night, and then was thrown out at 2nd his 3rd time trying to stretch one into a double. Which one of those was he not running hard down the line? The DP? And CC, he hit a soft groundball to 2nd with runners on 1st and 2nd, no out, and he jogged like he was trying to get loose to 1st....Could have easily decided to do the team-oriented thing and bunt, but decided to swing at a 2-0 pitch that almost hit the plate and get a GIDP...
September 9, 201016 yr I'm sure the return on him would be pretty good, plus the Reds would save money to go toward signing Votto long term. His defense would be missed greatly, but I think his offense his very replaceable. Or on an upgrade in LF....*cough* *cough* Carl Crawford or Jayson Werth....
September 9, 201016 yr A show of hands that would like to see Valaika at 2nd tomorrow? You can go ahead and write it down. Brandon Phillips will not be a Red next year. The Reds will ship him off in the off season. Please, please, please let me drive him to the airport to ship him out. They could get a lot for him right now, and they're not far away from being a legit NLCS contender for the next 5-7 years...

The DP last night came way after you were talking about no effort. CC? Who or what is CC?

September 9, 201016 yr Or on an upgrade in LF....*cough* *cough* Carl Crawford or Jayson Werth.... They cannot afford to sign either one of those players and keep their own young players given who they will be bidding against.
