This game will make both teams better for district play.

I think NCC is better than last year, but this year they've played two teams who didn't win a game last year and a team that only won 5 or 6 games. If NCC focuses this week in practice on keying on Hemple and Elliott from running they potentially have a chance. I know Hemple can throw, but I don't see Ryle beating people with their passing game at this point in the season.

NC would have to play a perfect game and Ryle have lots of TO's for NC to pull the upset. It's laughable to think that NC will hit harder than Highlands. Now, NC for sure will be hit like they have not been hit before this year. NC is good but I think you are selling Ryle and Highlands short by your comment. If both teams play well Friday night, it will be a 3-4 TD affair.

It is my understanding that a certain superstar for Ryle is indeed suffering from a foot injury. Wont go into specifics since its not appropriate to disclose, I dont think it will keep him out of the game but it could certainly slow him down. This could be the difference in this game since I believe NCC has the DB's to deal with a countered passing attack from Hemple. Look for this game to be close and if NCC wins this one it could elevate Coach Eviston status from Deacon to Cardinal overnite. LOL. Go Breds!!!!

How am I selling anybody short? NewCath hits this year in all phases. I saw it as a compliment considering how well Highlands flies to the ball not an insult. A guy on here just posted a 49 pt spread who is selling who short?

I think some of you are selling the Breds a little short. I'm in the minority in that I think NCC can compete with Ryle, but I feel this way because I've seen both teams.

 

Kelly is a hard runner and Hightchew is very elusive if pressured. Cain will be able to get open as will Bhola. The only thing that I could see hurting NCC is if they have a lot of dropped passes like they did this past week.

 

Now with that said, I still think Ryle wins, but the final margin will be within 3 td's. Ryle was very lucky last year to have big Tate and Fugate to throw the ball to against the Breds. This year, the Raiders will have to be a little more run oriented. (Not a bad thing, but the Breds are very good against the run.)

Maybe, just maybe, it is ok to compliment your team and not insult another. Read it how you like I don't care. NewCath has a group of kids that bring the wood. I know that it is herasy to say that Highlands isn't the greatest at every single aspect of football but I will stick with my opinion.

Good Point re: Hemple. If I were NCC I would put eight in the box and try to keep Elliott from getting outside. His long runs vs. Highlands were on plays when he was able to get outside. NCC has good DBs and I would make Hemple throw the ball.

As for the game, I think Ryle will win in a hard-hitting battle.
