September 1, 201016 yr We listed our house this week. Actually yesterday was the first day it was officially listed. There were 2 showings yesterday and we received offers from both couples last night. We counter one of them and are now waiting for their response, hopefully it will be a good one.

September 2, 201016 yr Author Well the people we made a counter offer to came back with a slightly higher offer then their original. We then made a counter offer to the 2nd couple and they have verbally accepted and will sign the papers tonight. So as long as they don't get cold feet between now and then we will have sold our house in 2 days of listing it. Although I am happy for a quick sale and the opportunity for a bigger house I am a little sad. This was my wife and my first house and was the house we brought both of our childern home to, there are lots of memories for us here.

Don't worry, you'll take the memories with you, and make a whole new set to go with them.
September 2, 201016 yr I used to feel the same way wr. I tried to convince my wife we should just sell the kids with the house so we wouldn't have to think about one without the other. She didn't go for it. Just make sure you have a trophy room in your new pad!

September 3, 201016 yr Cross your fingers that the buyer's financing goes through. It's not as easy to get a loan as it used to be. I hope it does and it's all smooth sailing, but the contract is just step one.

I hope it does and it's all smooth sailing, but the contract is just step one. They were preapproved before making the offer however they are switching banks so we will see.
