The caveat of the whole thing is, the players that these young kids are replacing, played well for the Cards last year. Forgive me, but, I can only feel more positively about this.

I agree with you.

After that wacky game last year, I'm not sure what's going to happen this year. I just know it will be a lot more enjoyable at 75 degrees rather than the 100 or so it was the last time it was at PJCS. What a miserable game that was.

^ That was miserable. It seems like that's more often the case than not during these Labor Day weekend games. I'm really looking forward to the weather if this proves true.

I went to the opening of Papa John's Stadium vs. UK in '98. One of the hottest days I can ever recall.

UK has only won the last 3, not the last 4.

I knew that and stand corrected.

UK by three. I will be there to witness 4 in a row.

I was just going to say 97 in Lexington was the hottest football game I've ever been too. My gf had a new little tank top and had to wear those "sticky" things in place of "support"...they melted on her. Very painful for us BOTH as she complained the entire 2nd half and i refused to leave.

I was just talking about that today. A big reason I passed on tickets this year.

77 on Saturday...make it through another next week, against EKU and it's easy street until the weather goes cold.

^ Man, I sure hope so....

In reality I am looking for top notch effort, and mostly, mistake free football. I hope both teams come out injury free as this game is more for us than for the season. If those objectives are accomplished, then I can settle with the outcome either way.

It appears to me that UofL is destined for a last place finish in the Big East

Want to put a wager on that?

I really have no idea what outcome to expect in this game, I can easily see either team winning. However, like you, I do expect UofL to come out looking more disciplined, to play with a higher football IQ and to give more effort than we have seen in the last few years and that's all I can ask for right now.

I am taking UofL mainly because I am a huge Charlie Strong fan. I know nothing about these two teams other than that so I am going to say UofL 28 UK 24.
